On the monster crash issue, make sure all the mod. monsters are in the right subfolder. I miised 1 in Flamestryke's mod and when I entered Anika-Trynton road, it crashed. I put the monster in which i had missed and it was fine from there.

Now, I have not tried any other mods, yet.

Well I'm playing again. fitted in a few hours tonight [img]smile.gif[/img] In the Mon. My lord got 'drained' the only way I could cure that was to get him killed and bring him back. What does drained mean, and is it just some potion that cures that?

when you get drained you need to drink a potion renewal. You find one just outside the monestary. When you get drained it useually you were drained of hit points or stamina and it is permenent until you dring a potion or die.

..just get the hack from flamestryke's website. Then you can put it in your inventory.

If you can get drained, you should be able to have a cure handy.

Reply: drain is the worst condition after dead, your hitpoints and other attributes slowly dwindle, and gradually your character wastes away. The only cure is the potion "Renewal" which you should find at least once near the gates of Arnika (in any mod). You could also buy one from Braffitt but they are very expensive (1000 +). I usually reload, when I get drained, later on you have collected a few potions, and you can afford to use them, but I always make sure to have at least one on me for sudden surprises. gr. William

Are yes renewal potions. Alas I didn't have any. So probley best I let my Lord get killed. But that wasn't easy! haha.

Heal all works. Also the fountain where Brafit is in Arnika will take it away. Disease is the tough one if not cured you will waste away to nothing

Does anyone know who sells whips? I've got one and combined with the spider silk, would be good to get another. Then I can combine them?
Can use the Lords fist now as well, boy that does a fair bit of damage.

You can get one from Anton in Arnika pretty often. If he doesn't have any try and sleep for 24 hours and look again.

:( I can't believe it.
Going well in my new game, back at the ratkin tree. Just talked to the Don, and went to that other room where the key to get to the breeders is. opened the door and the game crashed and exited to desktop, with a box asking if I wanted to send an error message to Microsoft.
Any idea what caused this? Can i carry on, missing out that quest won't have any major effect on the game?

Later. Just tried again, I can open the door and walk away and the game carrys on, it's just when I try and enter that room the crash happens.

I had this happen before sometimes I can get through it and others I can't. Have you done the combat in that room? Did one of the rats get away? If so go find him and kill him, but you need to enter combat before the game does or it may crash. If you haven't done the combat try and enter combat mode before you open the door but don't enter the room until all are dead. This part is not a major quest so you can forget it if you need to. And if you need a gadg. and Modras won't join you because you haven't finished the quest you can always go back and get Miles in Arnika.

No I've not attacked any thing in that room. I can't look in. Maybe I'll try opening the door and throwing in a few bombs or somthing. Hopefully I won't have to start over yet again!

Went through the Swamp to the South East Wilderness instead, my god that was a tough battle at the tomb!! my party of 5 got just under 250,000 ex each!!
And I got no help from the group standing out side. As soon as the battle was finished they all marched in, how odd.

That is a rough one

But fun!! I had to stop and think or I was going to get pasted. I even used some tactics :D ha ha.

I do enjoy a good scrap that's not over after a few turns.

That's why I like DS because of the bigger battles

Yeah the bigger battles are great. Are there many more to lookforward to?
I know there is that huge one outside the Umpani camp.

..only thing with the big is the enemy turns being way too slow. I thought I saw some type of mod a few years back that speeds up turns or emeny movement or something?

I downloaded it and it's on my desktop. There is no read-me file, so I don't know if it has to be in one of the games directories.

If I remember correctly it has to be placed inside the wizardry game directory.

Wizfast can change the in-fight enemy movement speed to values which are not possible from within the game. Unfortunately it can not speed up the attack animation.

Yeay I've now got Wound.

So my Fighter has Daemons Bane and Fang
Lord has Wound and Holy Avenger dagger
Rogue has Bowel Raker and some pincer dagger that poisons things
Ranger has Diamond eyes (mace) for melee
Bishop has Lords fist for melee.

Are they the 'best' weapons? Rogue and Bish don't use theirs much.

Well I can't remember the name of the sword but Ferro sells it. It looks like the one sword Ferro makes but he just sells it outright. It is far better than fang and is an offhand weapon. I can't remember if a Rouge can use it however. The uncursed staff of Doom would be better than the Lords fist. If I remember right Lords fist is offhand and so is diamond eyes, have the Ranger duel wield both. But really there is no reason for the ranger to use anything but Demonsting and mystic or fary arrows.

I might use the Staff of Doom, but alas I have no points trained in staff. But my Bish and Ranger will hardly use them.
