love

without it, you feel nothin worth feelin and feel that your life is worthless and you might as well die

Based on my own Athiestic Existentialism:

'Make your own meaning'

(But the temptation to just write 'Be excellent to each other' is just too much... :P)

It's actually my own personal belief. And yes, on the surface it sounds like an incredibly bleak and negative outlook on life.

But to me it is simply a matter of beliefs and perspective. And without getting into religious debates I'm going to leave it at that.

Being a Lancashire lad like myself I thought 'another pint of Thwaites' would have been the philosophy of life? :D

It's all a big game we involuntarily entered ourselves into, so have fun and play it safe 'cause in a few decades, you're worm-food. ;)

Oh, and 'do unto others' and all that...

I don't commit suicide because I'm enjoying life. I never advocate people outright ending lives at all. I think everyone on this planet going about and having fun and experience in life is wonderful, and I'm all for it. I just feel there is something greater to our existence and that comes when "death" comes. Whatever you believe or define death or the 'afterlife' to be, I see that as the point of life. But why miss out on all the fun during the ride to whatever it is comes after?

And I'm leaving it at that. I'd hate to get this thread closed because we are going far too off topic and personal.

ohhhh, you believe in something better after death, that makes more sense than just believing "death" is the point, ok let's leave it at that, I was just surprised before.
