It depends.

Deep down inside you know something is wrong. By this time, what I would do is be guarded, then work around that person to confirm. Skill is required.

I give people the benefit of the doubt. I am a straightshooter, no bull type of person. So at most times, I tend to be more irritated at the waste of time rather than the lie.

As far as I could tell this person had not lied to me before,then some of the things they said just did not feel right, there was also the smile/smirk.
Must remember to look at the eyes more.
