Re: Trading spouses clip that I found

Yeah I remember that one. It was like the Truman Show movie (one of my favourite movies too), where everyone knew except him. I never got to see the end IIRC - would have liked to. I think I saw the later episodes via clips from The Soup on E! lol.

Have you seen Chelsey handlers "new" (reformatted) show on E! btw? It's actually not bad - she's real funny. Pleasantly surprised. One thing I am liking about E! is that they actually seem to realize that they air some of the most ridiculous reality shows on tv - the one's other networks wont air (I mean, they got Paris and Nicole...). But, about E! is they don't seem to be afraid to make fun of themselves via shows like The Soup (50% of the shows Joel rips into are on his own network lol) and now this new Chelsea Handler show where she will take potshots at E! and their shows. What keeps a channel funny is humility. Self-degradation is a nice way to get there.

No I haven't paid much attention to that one. Will check it out next time I see it in the guide. :) Oh and I agree about E! Heck they didn't just have Paris and Nicole's show, they did Anna Nichole Smiths! Now THAT was truly painful to watch! Gawd she was so disgusting in so many ways! And I hated her ugly ratty farting dog. Then you had her creepy lawyer Stern, and her hideous lesbo sidekick Kimmy, her bakebean toothed cousin, and last but not least, Bobby Trendy. Have you seen that thing before? :hehe:

LOL, no I never dared. Oh, I was well aware of it's existence via the ripping on various shows but I couldn't risk the damage to my eyes so avoided it like a plague. Kinda like the Pirate Master thing.

Although a sick part of me is really wanting to see the pilot episode of Pirate Master, to see how they actually convince the contestants that being the "Pirate Master" is a positive thing and market to people by letting them know that "everyone wants to be the next Pirate Master" LOL. Wtf was the actual prize in the end? It better have been a chest of gold or something. Or was it a hat and parrot to appease the appetite of the insane people that signed up for the show? The whole concept made me groan in pain.

Well you are in luck LOL! Watch all you want!

Looks like the show isn't actually finished yet, one more to go next Tuesday. I have no idea either what exactly the winner gets. I say $50,000.00 in quarters. :hehe:

My god, I watched the first episode. I wonder how the people who are set adrift got home. Maybe they got lost forever. Those studios are hard to navigate on a small raft :D

It was so corny and cheesy and practically stuffed with pointless Pirates of the Carribean stuff that served no purpose at all. Yet, the people are so into it that it's mildly intersting just to see their pirate dreams get crushed. All in all, a good laugh. Thanks for the link!

Notice how almost everyone wore eyeliner LOL? Oh, and the blond guy with the dreads, later on at around episode 4 or 5, starts talking with a British accent. He's totally trying to talk like Johnny Depp in Pirates of the Carribean! So delusional! He probably is thinking he's becoming this big star now LOL.

Oh and I did like the setting people adrift in their sad little rafts LOL. I was thinking they were going to make them walk the plank. Which would have been funny too. Imagine all the eyeliner running down their faces as they bobbed up and down in the ocean, watching the ship sail further and further away. :hehe:

Yes I wanted them to walk the plank too. I was hoping for sharks or something. Ah well. I love how the guy who was axed didn't say a word as he was set adrift. They we're all obviously coached about what happens when you leave. But you could feel him seething. He acted like Jack Sparrow at first, talking real low and doing all the hand movements. Then he looked like the stripper they said he was (let's not even discuss the /scientist part - there are no words).

Forgive me, I am a bit slow this week it seems, but I didn't notice you were promoted to moderator all this time. I guess I wasn't paying much attention to the avatars. Anyways, congrats. Least we have someone who is actually watching all these crazy shows along with us modding the forum :D I was scared we'd get that Memnoch guy who thinks reality tv is "rubbish", lol. Which quite an amount of it is, but what hilarious rubbish it can be. Maybe we should make him watch Pirate Master...

Thing is, I think they got rid of the stripper guy too fast. He made good TV because of his complete weirdness. And I can only imagine how he'd end up getting along with the blond dreaded Depp. They'd probably try to out-Depp eachother which would have been hilarious! No doubt the first few shows were entertaining, but if you continue to watch them you'll see it gets boring, and confusing as well. What exactly ARE the rules?

Oh and thanks. Yes we need to have somebody who has love for reality TV modding, and that's certainly me! :D You'd have done a good job as well. :) Oh and did you know, that cursing is allowed in this forum? :D Can't wait for I Love NY 2!

I thought casual cussing was okay in all the forums lol (shows what I know and tells you what I been doin :-/). As in real life, I casually cuss quite a bit. Like many people, I do it mainly for expression of something. It's hard to describe certain fiasco shows without using certain adjectives. Dumming it down just doesn't have the same ring to it :D. I think the only time it really got problematical in IW was when people weren't mature about how they come across. You can use all kinds of language in a conversation as a means of expression and still not even border on insulting anyone.

Well the good thing is, as moderator, if anyone becomes annoying you could have your own hip policy. Like send them a PM with a "black mark" in it. Maybe even "cut them adrift" if they really piss you off so they can float around a studio/pretend ocean for awhile. The possibilites are endless! God, it would have been alot more interesting if they actually did set them adrift in the ocean, and ignored their calls for help. That's how I would have done it. If you get kicked off Pirate Master you must find your own way across the sea :D
