Politics is still politics. Best way to look good quickly in the muslim world is to go up against America and Israel.

It is persian (farsi). and he is probably using some online translator, since his translation into Arabic (if you click on the Saudi flag) is full of grammatical/spelling mistakes too.

I came across this link. Is Ahmedinejad trying to infect israeli machines? Apparently one of the external links on the blog is supposed to infect machines of web visitors.

Look at the link again, it was a false positive by Symantec.

And really, what claptrap... This man is a head of state, he has better things to do than infect retarded Windows users with a crappy exploit.

C'mon guys.... I'm not making this up. The president of Iran is the head of GOVERNMENT, the beauracracy, not the head of STATE, which is the Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Khameni

The way you guys are talking makes it sound like Iran is a democracy with a president running the show. It's a theocracy run by the clerics. Click the links.

The Supreme Leader

The Supreme Leader of Iran is responsible for the delineation and supervision of "the general policies of the Islamic Republic of Iran". The Supreme Leader is Commander-in-Chief of the armed forces, controls the military intelligence and security operations; and has sole power to declare war. The heads of the judiciary, state radio and television networks, the commanders of the police and military forces and six of the twelve members of the Council of Guardians are appointed by the Supreme Leader. The Assembly of Experts elects and dismisses the Supreme Leader on the basis of qualifications and popular esteem.[1] The Assembly of Experts is responsible for supervising the Supreme Leader in the performance of legal duties.

That sure sounds like the equivalent to the American president right? Well the "supreme leader" is Khameni.

This is the guy to worry about. The Iranian president is toothless.

Iranian Leader: Hizballah 'Victory' Is Islam's 'Triumph'

Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in Tehran last month
(Fars)

August 17, 2006 -- Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei today hailed what he called Hizballah's "victory" over Israel, likening it to "the triumph of Islam."

The message is contained in a letter read on Iran's state television that Khamenei reportedly sent to Hassan Nasrallah, the leader of the Lebanese Shi'ite militia.

In it, Khamenei said Hizballah "proved that military power depends on faith, jihad, sacrifice, intellect, and prudence, rather than mass weaponry." He also praised the militia for allegedly "destroying the myth of the Israeli army's invincibility."

Khamenei's comments echoed remarks made by Iranian President Mahmud Ahmadinejad on August 15. The United States and Israel accuse Tehran of maintaining strong organizational ties with Hizballah.

Iran denies the charge, saying its support to the Shi'ite militia is purely "moral."

[/QUOTE]Youch, it was just sloppy terminology when I forgot his title and couldn't be bothered to check, I wasn't deliberately contradicting you ;)

I spent a lovely few days reading all about Iran's internal politics back in uni, so I realise he's not exactly ruling with a rod of iron. It's a shame Rafsanjani has gone really, he had his moments.

And yes, Khameni does scare the crap out of me. I hate religious fanatics. :(

At least farsi doesn't appear to have a grammar structure similar to spanish...... if the english translation is any indication.
