Ilike Necro. the dead are so much fun.

Necromacer or Wild Mage for me.

Transmuter all the way, an ungodly number of spells to choose from, and even better, they're almost all useful from polymorph other to rock to mud (or even alter self to grow wings and fly, or claws and dig like a mole).
