Bud Lite? American beer is like making love in the bottom of a canoe - f'ing close to water!

...And Fosters is never drank by true australians (nor smart foreigners, either)

Almost forgot, I'm usually found at the best little pub in southern ontario, known as McThirsty's Pint

Hmm, I finally am interested enough to post a reply in the gd forum, and its about beer.

Anyway, ever since I visited Australia a few years ago I can't drink enough Coopers, the sparkling ale is my favorite. Although I do like local breweries here in the US too. Anyone ever drink Magic Hat or Harpoon?

My favorite Beer is no longer made. It's an
American beer that was called Bud Malt Dark'
it was 18.5% and won The world beer taste at
Octoberfest in Germany in 1969 under a false
name so that nobody new it was made in america.
It was a very stout and bitter Malt that they
only mqade at 4 of the 22 Budwiser brewers.
Budwiser quit makeing it in 1974 because it cost
50% more to make than what they sold it.They also
stopped brewing it due to the retarted Liquor laws
in the U.S.A. saying Beer couldn't contain more than 8%

When I was in the military I was able to tour
alot of Europe,Aisa & even made it to sidney
once. The closest Beer I ever had to it was at
a couple little pubs in Ireland. One was in
Ballycastle northern Irland and the other was
farther to the west in the Irish Freestate at
Port Noo. I cant remember the name of it but
it was brewed in Killybega and I believe was
a limited Dark Brew and they normally don't
sell to outsiders like me But, I was there
with my cousins that live in Fintona Northern
Ireland. All I can say is 6 pints of that beer
and you find yourself out in a field chasing
little wild animals (I guess it was a fox)
slurring out the words "Here Kitty Kittyyy gooood
Lllittle Kitty" while everbody from the Pub
laughed their ass off at me. I really don't
remember that part but I still get teased by my
uncle in my Christmas greeting cards every year
from my family in Ireland. I do remember that
Was what I considered the best Beer on earth.
I can say that I have had beer and ale in over
40 different countries and Dark stout Malt Liquor is
by far the best IMHO no mater where it's brewed.
:D Bottoms up

I live in cleveland and until i turned 21 I thought nothing good came out of cleveland( obviously no Lebron James at that point), but then i tried some beers from the great lakes brewery and they changed my life. their christmas ale approx 8.5% is simply amazing and almost makes it worth getting through a cold cleveland winter for. Nosferatu their red ale (9%) is pretty good too but sold only in 4 pack and for a high price. their blackout stout (% unknown by me off hand) is a stout with a hint of blackberry but its very very very good and a high % is pretty good. their most known beer Dortmunder Gold is the only american lager i will drink other than sam adams, and their burning river ale is simply amazing and I am sipping on one right now. supposedly they have other beers they do not bottle at their brewery but it is hard to find and i worry about driving home from it, so I have never been there, but soon i shall revel in it, with a sorry sap of a DD. cheers
