WOW! The Governator actually won? I didn`t think he would...
"Hasta la vista [insert X`s name here]... :D "

If you've ever listened to him on Tv during debations (not the recent ones as of late), he is actually very smart and knows quite a bit about goverment. Just because he has done action movies doesn't mean he's got rocks in his head.

He certainly does talk as if he has got rocks in his head ;)
I'm not an opponent of Schwarzenegger, but you can never trust a politician. Even when they look solid and trustworthy and good in a debate, that says nothing. Marketing strategy is everything these days.. *sigh*

Have you heard of Ronald Regan BTW?

Ow! Bad analogy Yorick! </font>
Why? You don't think Regan used his acting skills while President? ;)

Here's the thing. People are saying that Arnie knows nothing about politics.... Why should someone know about politics? Shouldn't they know how to run a large company? Shouldn't they have moral agendas or be able to balance finances? Inspire those around them with visionary leadership? Wouldn't these be more valuable skills than knowing about backnifing, doubledealing, partyroom mechanics and breaking promises? The trouble with governments are the politics.

Doesn't Arnie own a couple of companies? Planet Hollywood etc? If he can save Californias economy, and inspire people into working for that shared vision, he's doing his job. He doesn't have to be a politician to run a state.

He might only be governor for 4 years and return to acting. I liked him better as an actor.

I say well done Mr Schwarznegger and good hardiness as a politician to thee! But the whole Governor appointment scenario hasn't been without its amusements. I mean after all, he did beat Mary Carey to the job!

The quotable Arnie on the departing Governor:
"He has terminated our jobs, he has terminated our economy.
Now its time for us to terminate him!"
:D Ahh, the cheesiness of it all.

Two years into his governance, and a reporter says "Stay thy hand fair Governor, ye shall grope no more", to which the apt reply from The Last Action Hero was: "Who said I was fair?" rattatatatatatatataatata! :D

"To be or not to be", "Not to be"...rattattatatatatatatata!

Knock knock Californians, Arnie's here to "stick around"! :D
