Yes but this is wrong. ;) Removing a program's start up registry entry will not disable the program. That is what we are discussing.
If you want to clean your start up list thoroughly the registry is the best way to do it. And if you stick to the following folder "My computer\hkey_local_machine_\software\microsoft\wi ndows\currentversion\run" you can´t really do anything wrong, with the help of the link above. ;)
