My entire family's cockney so it annoyed me tho I could JUST tolerate it (Note: tolerate is a long word for a true cockney)

and a special shout to Dritz a great voice for a minor charector

No, sorry. David actually only did irenicus' vioce for the final movie. Watch it and you'll be able to tell the difference.

Am i the only one who thinks that the voices for your character are the worst there are? If i want to be a dwarf i want to sound like a dwarf! Not some do-gooder knight! I want me heavy dwarven accent ye numbskull.
In terms of the best.. Anomen. Im sorry but i think for his incredibly annoying arrogance that voice suited him fine. Another good one is Irenicas', That voice should be the voice of all super villans.

Kaltia, have you seen the movie Time Bandits?

If ANYbody other than David Warner played Irenicus, I'll go home and stick pasta in my ears. The voice acting is IDENTICAL: Pitch, timbre, pacing, intonation, everything. That IS David.

My solution for this problem was to make... Composite sound sets! Since I didn't have the BG2 voice sets downloaded at the time, I took a bunch of sounds and voices from the original BG game and used them to create a sound set for my char. For a critical hit it's "Eat steel, scum." For just acnowledging it's "THIS would be a good place for a henge!" "What now? Need your pantaloons pressed?" "By your command" "By Valkur's strapping buttocks!" For your dwarf you could take a mix of Korgan, Kagain, and... um... what's that Lawful Good dwarf from BG1.... Amazing since the typical alignment for dwarves is LG, but nooo, the games would have you believe they're all CE. I know most LG ones are still underground living in clans, but STILL...

The best voice acting in the BG series would have to be my good friend's Xzar and Montaron, they worked really well together, they had the best scripts in BG 1. Also I liked Xan, his depressive tone actually cheered me up. As for annoying I think Khalid and Coran had bad voice acting attached to them.

All I know is that I wish the actresses who did Jaheira's and Viconia's voices had some kind of party line going... Grrrrr...

wow, I'm sick. Really sick.

Seriously, though, I loved most of the voice sets. although... did anybody else notice that Jaheira ALWAYS began at a whisper and then increasingly got louder? I found myself blasting my volume just to hear her, only to get knocked out of my chair when Aerie started whining.

I agree with Dagorion... the guy voices are pretty bad. It's not so much the voices that annoyed me, but the scripts. Take..... Nalia... "For the Needy!" -cough- That's painful. I don't like it when the characters whine, it makes me want to kick them.

Follow the link in my sig, and go to the Chapter on Links. Find the link that takes you to Kris Johnstone's BG voices--he's got the best Dwarf I've ever heard.
In Forest (whispering) "Uhh, don't tell anyone, but, this is kinda pretty here." *loudly clears throat*

I also love his Mage, Gnome, and Alcoholic Bard. :D

As for BG1, I loved most of the voices that most people found annoying: Xan, Quayle, Edwin, Tiax.....They just had the BEST attitudes. I also really liked Minsc (duh), Kivan and Coran, but I just could not stand Khalid, Ajantis or Alora.

As for not being able to slap around the whiners and tell them to grow a spine, I couldn't agree more. If I can beat up my Familiar, why can't I smack Aerie?

Why, that's why you put Viconia in your party! So incredibly refreshing to hear her tell whiners to shut up.
