<span style="color: lightblue;">Ok, my Standards speach...

Marquee tags are depricated. Better not to use them; if you want scrolly text, go for an animated gif.

Font tags are depricated, there is another way to change the textcolour that is supported by more browsers. That is:
<span style="color: white;">&lt;span style="color: <span style="color: red;">colorname;">

As far as forums are concerned, it`s probably better to leave your formatting at different colours, and <span style="font-weight: bold;">bold or <span style="text-decoration: underline;">underline for emphasis. I can teach you how to change the size of the text properly, but I won`t.

<span style="font-weight: bolder;">Important: choose colours that are readable on your background. For example, do not use dark brown/blue, red, or black here... it can be very annoying to try to read.

Depricated = won`t be in later versions of HTML, you should get used to not using them, so that when they aren`t useful anymore, it won`t affect you. ;)
And choose colours that we can read !!

<font color=steelblue>Got it, thank you. :D </font>

/)eathKiller 03-27-2003 10:41 PM

another trick to that is to use hexadecimal representation of colors, lie E33FFG for <font color="E33FFG"> semi-kinda'-light violet </font>
