Actually, ROT13 is sooo last year... The other IW members are simply trying to deny its existence, as it's lameness nowadays is only surpassed by "all your base are belong to us" references, using 1337-speak and any of Arvon's jokes.

See? Then why bring it up in the first place? Would be something if all those terrible 80's haircuts would suddenly reappear as well... Some hypes deserve to be forgotten.

Its actually increadibly useful, espically for something like spoilers where you can just ROT-13 the text, put a message above it saying "Spoiler about foo below. ROT-13" and then let people decide if they want to read the spoiler or not.

Too bad there are not any web-based forums that I know of that support it.
Usenet on the other hand tends to use it once in a while, as most good news readers will let you just highlight and click something to ROT-13 the text.

Of course it has its uses, like any kind of cipher; it's when people think it's cool to confuse others with it when I have difficulty suppressing a loud yawn. ;)
Unless someone thinks it's cool as well if from now on I start writing all my messages in binary... It serves no purpose on a normal messageboard but to annoy people, believe me.
