It's a saying in Holland, it means: You can't stand on one leg. But i wasn't sure it has the same meaning in English, probably not.

For instance: I'm in a bar and a friend walks up to me. He asks me if i want a drink. I say: sure, two beers. So in this case the beers are the legs. And i can't stand on just one. Get it ?
