No Johnny, the elections mentioned are this November. They are for the house, senate, and various governorships.
I don't think Bush has to worry, invasion or no. I think the majority of the US citizens is still behind him. :hidesbehindcouch:

WOW, if that's true, it might never happen. ;)

So, you're saying if there were elections now, he would lose ?

Nope, I'm saying he hasn't seen a serious drop in the polls, and I don't forsee one.

Yes, but not as loudly, NOR as frequently, as Democrates trying to be re-elected to the House and Senate...LOL!

If memory serves.....Democrates began complaining about the economy under a Republican President within days of George "W" taking office. ;)

I do agree with the fact that getting cheap oil from iraq is going to be a decisive factor in the war. Perhaps other countries are backing out because they dont see their own benefit in such an assault!

</font>[/QUOTE]So you think the Republicans are not using the War On Terrorism and with Iraq to get elected. It seems like a big smoke screen to me. Neither side is without sin in regard to tactics being used in the race to November 5th.

I absolutely agree that both sides spend too much time trying to use legitimate issues to make the other guy look bad.

I don't think the Republicans are ready to go to war to "win seats", but I do think they will use the issue to their advantage political, if at all possible.

I don't think the Democrates try to keep the economy "in the bucket" to make the Republican administration look bad and thereby helping them "hold seats", but they certainly don't mind pointing a finger to help their political party.

I wish people in power didn't have to "play sides". I think they should all be on the same side....our side. :(
