I know, but roots is more of a generalization with more genres than only country. North Mississippi Allstars is more bluesrock than country anyways. ;)

Didn't I just clarify this? Roots is not a generalisation. It's a broader definition which includes more specific definitions like 'Country' and 'Blues'. Both styles are Roots music, as is Folk.

Music from which other genres, like Jazz, Rock and Roll, Funk, Soul, and Pop music, have all originated from these 'roots' styles, hence the term.
