I stand corrected

Of course, I don't have ToB, so my poor Sorceror has never been above level 17...yet.

Time for me to get my gaming experience in.

I have re-played the game a total of 16 times because with a few character, I always mess up. Well anyway, Adamantite Golems aren't immune to weapons above +3 from what I've seen.

All of the other tips people said works.

However, Cloud Kill works as well.

However, a less cheesy way would be to use the War Hammer +1/+4 VS Giants.

It's called the Knee Capper, and can be found in the D'Arnise Keep in the Golem Place.

It definitely works against Adamantite Golems. Just haste yourself, and also protect from poison, and go a-running in and attack. They don't stand much of a chance because they don't haste for some reason.

The reason why the hammer works, the Adamantite Golem is technically a giant.

With that level 16 you instead have to fight shadow fiends... maybe 10 of them and maybe even five or so shadows to boot! The game does this because in the game you can do any battle at any time (almost) and they have to make sure you get a even challenge.

WHEW! man i'm long winded. :D :D

Your sig looks like a mix between Parn from Lodoss Wars and Prince Lyle from Ruin Explorers.

In other words, it looks cool.

Another tactic I found works with Iron/adamantitie golems is the spell Melf's minute meteors! No, I'm not kidding. They do about 2 damage if your lucky but if the golem is trapped in a doorway or busy thumping something else they really do kill it quickly!
Anyway, people, this is my first post on the site!

Welcome to Ironworks, Kaltia, it's a pleasure to meet you.

The Cheesy way..
Get the Golem up to the doorway where he cannot move. Shoot him with Sling of everard if you have it. Then have whoever is carrying a decent +thaco weapon-- i think i use Minsc with that Talking Sword, plus Jaheira with this Long staff thing, +4 of something to run up, Hit him, then back away before he starts his attack. The Long weapons actually allow you to hit him from further away than a shortsword, dagger, or mace would. This is how i take out Nalia's Big golem too. Minsc stabbing with Talking sword from safe spot Golem cannot hit him. Cheesy i know, but i call it strategy, plus, if they didn't mean for you to do this, would they have made the doorways like that?...

Actually, I don't consider that cheesy and would call it a strategy. A head on fight that you'll most likely lose is never a strategy...

Haste definitely still comes in handy. I bet you you could do some major damage with Haste, Staff of Rynn +4, Lilarcor +3 (Talking Sword), Knee Capper (Hammer +1/+4 VS Giants), and all of that other stuff you mentioned.

i don't see the problems everybody is having with the golems! i allways kill them with ease. the only problems i had was with the clay golems, and those disappeared when i bought the staff +4.........

didn't meet any adamantite golems yet, though.
