I would have to say the U.S Pres. Kennedy. (Because I am in the U S). If he didn't decide to put up a convoy block in Cuba and went and attacked, we would have had a Nuke exchange with Cuba, Russia.

I personally HATE political things, but he was one of the 'greats'. Another is Mr. Babbage (Computer Creator?) http://www.tgeweb.com/ironworks/cgi-...es/biggrin.gif Without him, no pc's = no internet = no forum http://www.tgeweb.com/ironworks/cgi-...miles/wink.gif

And M. Luther king, Mickey Mantle (Met him once in 1980), and the 'real' Braveheart guy. William Wallace. And more.. just can't think right now.

Perhaps Ziroc it would be better to cite Ada Lovelace, the woman who funded Mr. Babbage. He sold the idea of the "computer" to her as a way to beat the bookies at horse races. http://www.tgeweb.com/ironworks/cgi-...iles/smile.gif

My hero, don't really have one but I guess the following are on my respected list:

Stephen Hawkin
Ghandi
Pythagoras
Alexander the Great

I see nobody has mentioned John Crapper, the inventor of the flushing toilet. He has my vote! On a more modern note, Astronauts are heroes to me. The ultimate ride, with danger involved. I'd love to do that
