By the way, Firestormalpha, this guy in the Official Interplay Forums counted the time that you have to play Fallout 2.. It was 10 YEARS!!
So don't worry, you've got plenty of time to become a pornstar and do whatnot. :D |
Ahh, so the dog has the jinxed trait attached to him. And he's not all too easy to kill either.
I always thought I was having a few too many critical misses for a luck of 7. Add: I think I've narrowed the radiation damage down to being some strange side effect of the scorpions poison. Explains why they're called Radscorpions. [ 05-01-2004, 03:21 PM: Message edited by: Firestormalpha ] |
So what your saying uss is that the dream message thing that the shaman sent me is just to remind me that there is a central quest involved?

If you find the game a bit dull, *SPOILER* I suggest that you go to New Reno to find work from one of the casinos, if you haven't done that yet. Also, put some points into Unarmed Fighting(you'll have enough points to spend on stuff later on) and go boxing in New Reno, and then Martial Arts fighting in San Fran. Oh, the possibilities in Fallout and Torment.. I love Black Isle. :D |
Woohoo!! I found a new recruitable NPC in Junktown (not the dog). He's a guy you can meet in the bar. Pretty good with a shotgun. I also learned that you don't give Ian a gun with burst mode before your first encounter with Killian. He used burst mode on the assassin and hit to of Killians guards in the process. Needless to say the guards went hostile on me. Oh yeah, is there any way to bust Doc Morbid or is extortion my only option in the Hub?

i forgot about the doc but i do remember that you can control your hencmen not to use burst mode or something. just talk to them

Incidentally, I just massacred everyone in Salvatore's Bar in New Reno, including the bossman Salvatore himself. Is this going to be really detrimental to my game or can I just roll with it?

FSA, there's no time limit in Fallout 2 as far as I know.
The game is divided into two major quests: the first one is to find the G.E.C.K. and the second one becomes apparent when you've finished the first or when something like one year has passed. The bad dog everyone is refering to is called the Pariah Dog and only exist in Fallout 2. It's a random encounter where you find a single dog surrounded by dead bodies. Avoid it, but all other dogs are safe (well, except the hostile ones) including Dogmeat in Fallout 1. [ 05-03-2004, 07:12 AM: Message edited by: Stratos ] |
To The Hierophant:
I massarced the entire town( mobsters, pimps, pushers, addicts, fluffers, etc...) of New Reno before and completed the game just fine... Let's just say I redefined the meaning of a smoking town. |
Oh... and the Pariah Dog can actually be VERY useful if you use a certain character build. ;)
