Uh guys, you are aware that some of these game series are ended story-wise, right? If they made a sequel to these golden oldies only the setting would be similar.

1.BG
2.Aurora Toolset
3.NWN HotU (it's supposed to be a lot better than SoU according to the makers)

I would not like to see a sequel to Baldur's Gate 2... that story is done... but More games in the Forgotten Realms with the Infinity Engine... and not just hack and slash like Icewind Dale.

Master of Magic.

A real sequel to XCom not the crappy XCom:Enforcer.

I'd also like to see a sequel to The Longest Journey which had one of the best stories ever in a game.

I know, MM8 and MM9 came out, but they weren't effective sequels. I miss the challenge and joy of MM6 and MM7. And with 3DO being toast, a sequel is unlikely for a while.

At least the other two are somewhere on their way :D

Bard's Tale IS getting a sequel sometime in the near future. there was a topic about it a while back with a link to the makers site. funny as hell, it was

Actually, that's not quite accurate. The Bard's Tale series isn't getting Bard's Tale IV (which would be a sequel), but rather a new game is being made as a revisitation within the world of Bard's Tale for PS2 and PC. It won't be based on the traditional old school dungeon crawl/exploration/descriptive combat style, unfortunately...but here's to hoping that it'll still be a worthwhile journey!
Also if you read Bungleau's post a bit closer, you'd see that he already implied that another game was being made.

www.inXile-entertainment.com was the link...

All Bard's Tale fans have Brian Fargo to thank for bringing back the classic name into the RPG market after purchasing the rights to it from EA who had sat on the rights complacently for far too long.

Now, as to some more sequels I'd love to see, well, some agree with other posters, but here goes:
1) Another Ultima Underworld! (pleeeeeease, Mr Garriot, please??!!)
2) Planescape: Torment - The possibilities of what happens to the Nameless One are immense...Or just another adventure within the planes...anything! Just don't take out its beautiful brain!
3) Another Baldur's Gate (Back to the original for non-linearity, but more of the depth of the world/character interaction from II)
3) A greater, more self-reflexive attempt at a Pool of Radiance sequel (Not Ruins of Myth Drannor, that was an absolute insult to the original SSI game!) Actually, make that count for all the great SSI goldbox games! :D
4) Stonekeep - Shoot me down for liking this game if you may, but its style was rather addictive to me back then...
5) Wizards & Warriors

Another I'd heard a rumour about but haven't read any updates about anywhere, is a possible Eye of the Beholder 4 in the works, anyone inform me further here?

Cheers,
Cerebrodragon

X-COM - I think there is a new game called UFO Aftermath out right now!

Fallout- There is one in the works, but it hasn't been announced yet.

Baldurs Gate- I think this one's dead for good.

Killing Time- Simply the neatest 1st person shooter I've ever played! Seriously spooky with a great island setting, cool weapons, and nifty monstrous critters! It's set in the flapper/gangster era and has lots of authentic jazz music that plays interposed with the spooky music as you go through the house. I can still hear the undead hunters calling their two headed dogs in that evil voice. "Here boy! Heh, heh, heh!"

I think it did get a sequel. Nightfire. Good game, the gameplay was largely the same as Goldeneye's.
