At really low levels (lower then 18) you won't get a faedric dai-katana from a Dremora or a Dremora Lord. I would say that if you want a DDK then it would probably be easier to go to the Maesa-Shammus Egg Mine with is on the west side of a ridgeline and lies north-north-east of Molag Mar, it's also just a little north of the Nchardumz ruin. Inside the mine there is a dead body that has one.

I'm personally not a fan of a DDK or any other really powerful weapon as primary weapons at low level. You tend to kill weak things in one hit, so your longsword skill will stay low, and make it difficult to actually hit anyone. As annoying as things like cliff racers and rats are, they give you a chance to practice your weapon skills. I generally find it's worth keeping a weaker weapon (I use a steel saber and a silver longsword) to kill things that arn't really dangerous and save your good weapon for tough enemies. This also has the advantage that your good weapon will be in top condition for those tough fights.

it's not a bug.
it's just how the ordinators are. if they see you (some smack dude who's definitely NOT a fellow ordinator) wearing their gear, they assume there's one of two ways you got it:
1) you stole it
2) you attacked one of their brothers and peeled it off his dying body

so, in their eyes, you are a murdering, thieving SOB who deserves to die.

harsh, but, hey, they're ordinators. not known for being all peace and love.

best online MW map there is.

it's a java applet, so make sure you have at least a fairly recent version of java on your system.

Just a second: As I remember it, they won't attack you on sight until you speak with an ordinator while wearing the armour: this first one attacks you, and from then on you are an enemy to them all. and you end up with vast piles of ordinator crap laying around to sell...

For me, "good" is currently anything one-handed (I like sheilds) better than my glass frost sword (max 37 damage, with the +7 max from the ice enchantment. I'll have to steal that sword of white woe. I recently got some chameleon items, so I can get 120-130% chameleon, and that could help me steal stuff.

Is the Ice Blade from the third imperial cult oracle quest better?

I have a skill of 100 for longswords, and I have a decent score for armorer, so I repair my own stuff most of the time.

It's quite good, but IIRC (I just got a couple of days ago; you'd think I would remember  ;) ), it's a two-handed sword. Also the number of charges it has isn't terribly high.
