Not sure. But my Light Armor skill is 100, my medium is 52 and heavy is @45. I do know this makes a difference. I found a set of Daedric gauntlets (heavy) with a AR of 144, however my black leather gauntlets (light) have a AR of 166. Since I'm a weapon master, stealthy, acrobatic, mage, I prefer the light armor. I have not found any medium armor with an AR anywhere close to these.

yes, look at my character picture in the other topic, he is heavily armoured. His total Armour Rating is 240 ++. This is only ebony armour, I haven't found any daedric armour yet. so my AR can still be higher.

isn't it a good idea to pick only 1 armor skill as major/minor skill? with 2 armor skills it will be harder to gain level. What do you do?

I think the Lord's Mail curaiss would be the best Heavy Armor, then Deadric for the rest.

In my game the Lord's mail is medium; and its armor rating is lower than a daedric cuirass anyway

GAining level isn't a problem, it's even too fast: go for either heavy or light, forget medium. And pick only one.
Light allows you to carry more and makes you faster, heavy takes your AC to 360 or so but a full suit + weapons can weigh up to 400 - with 100 strength you can carry only 500, so you WILL need a fortify strength constant effect item if you want to loot anything, and you will also be slower.

I'm confused. My character is specialized in combat I'm afraid light armor will be weak for my character. I like full plate shiny shiny

it's up to you really Zoltan. I prefer the heavist armour possible the game can offer. some prefer the lightest armour.

A good warrior doesn't really need armor - anything must be already dead before hitting him - so light is enough, since it isn't really that light.

This would be true, up to about level 30-35. Then you must figure out ways to increase your endurance, and that would be training in Med or Hvy armor.

From the earlier description of the added weight of Hvy armor, here is what I'm looking like. All light armor, Saviors cuirass, Black Leaather; boots, gauntlets, greeves, and shirt. Glass pauldrons, helm, and shield. Total AC is 215, with a weight of a whole 62lbs, I have CE str at 209, and can carry 1,018 lbs of loot.

My block is @75 or so, and agility is CE @154, so I take few hits, for little damage. Unless of course, it comes in the form of Giants-Mod double pack of 'pac nix-hounds', but thats more due to my attack style than defend style. Must learn to slash, chopping not good.
