Dantes was always a diversion in that battle. There was nothing he could have done against the modding mage except be target practice, or take on his minions. He chose the later.

Okay, I'm a 3rd ed player, so is that ok or no? And I was thinking of RPing a Paladin, or a multiclassed fighter priest, or just a priest.

SecretMaster, put your character together using 3rd editions rules and PM it to me. Larry's character Brendon was designed using the 3rd edition rule set and then tweaked a bit to conform to the style of play we're using in the game, so you would not be the only player to have done so. Any of the three options you proposed for a character should blend in well with the present party.

NOTE:

A summary of the LOF series can be found at the top of the roleplay forums in the stickied thread. The outline of the plot provided there does a reasonable job of summing things up to the point of the present thread. Those looking for an outline of the plot should read it. This game has run through a long series of threads and a sense of the basic outline of events is important. In addition, I would ask new players to at least skim through the previous game thread -- LOF Aftermath 2 - Hidden Hungers -- both in order to get up to date on what is currently taking place in he story as well as to get a feel for the style of play.

Rp like a female dwarven fighter/cleric or something. I bet that would be cool, or at least interesting. Make her have a crush on brendon ;)

I bet a berserker would be kind of fun too.

I myself was thinking more along the lines of a gladiator-type warrior, lightly armoured and trying to impress the crowds. Though one wonders if blind grimlocks would enjoy arena combat, I bet they do if it's noisy enough

quick edit my character is 9/10 (had to recheck the exp tables) I'll get a spell list to you Cyril before long, as well as a detailed EQ list.

The more help we get in this battle the better. for some reason I think Dankorona might be the only one that makes it out alive.

ROFL! You may be right!

Also...watch it about that romance stuff with Brendon. No crushes from Dwarven lasses! The power of the Mad Mage may be gone, but he has minions in hiding that will cook yer arse if you ain't careful!

Legolas - A gladiator type is fine with me. Go ahead and design the character.

Morgeruat - The change has been noted and is not a problem.

SecretMaster - Thanks for the PM. The group could use a paladin and I'll have a response out to you later tonight about the character specifics.
