I did a Rogue and two Fighters. I made them all get Iron Will ASAP and maxxed it with about 15 mins of intense mouse-clicking. Then i scooted up to Bela to get everyone CMC's and then off to kill a Priestess over and over until i got the Amulet Pro Magica. After that it was fairly easy. We also used some Scrolls and Potions and various charged jewellery. And we wore whatever other resistance-bearing equipment as we found it.
Here's another place where it pays to have other Races: Magic Resistances. I picked the best Piety/Mental resistance combinations: Elf Rogue and two Gnome Fighters. Nobody got Insaned or TC'd until Souleater, and they ALL TC'd so combat broke off. (it was mass bad luck, nobody went again after that)

What i miss most when i have no casters is Portal.

Scatter's got it just about right. Cloaks and 2 rings pro magic for all. Sadok and Bela have the rings. If any do go insane just switch weapon to ranged and take their ammo away and lock it 'til they're better.

Thanks for that advice, it's very useful with insane fighters dealing 150 damage in one round :)

Don't have Doom... save that for a solo character.

Just put Ring of Stars on the Doomwielder.

Ring of Stars is AC+4 Mental +50. PP Gari for it.
Doomwielder is the character wielding Doom.
Don't want them insane, eh.
Or maybe you gotta FN with the Cane, also a good one to have high Mental resistance...

I had more fun with an - all dwarf - party consisting of:
fighter
rogue
lord
samurai
monk
ninja

than just about any other party. Alternately, it can be fun to replace the fighter and rogue with a bard and gadgeteer.
