- - Jennifer Garner as Electra...(Jan. 14th!) Woo! (http://www.ironworksforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=40284)

Definitely not a movie I'll pay to see at the theater. Debatable if I'll rent it, one hottie can't make up for a lame story... and I'm having a hard time imagineing the story being good.

Wow, Jennifer Garner knows TKD? Amazing. I once knew someone who knew TKD as well. He was the biggest wimp I've ever met. He couldn't take a punch, had no upper body (or lower body for that matter) strength, and nearly failed his mile run time. Knowing a martial art and being a Martial Artist are very different things. Anyway, I withdraw my statement about this movie. It looks like its a pretty good flick, I must go check it out.

I'm just coming from seeing it. I liked it, I also liked Daredevil.

The only problem is that their legend is a little useless...

Sir Degrader, Tae Kwon Do has so many "McDojos" out there that people joking refer to it as "Take Ones Dough."

The real TKD is a nasty art, but I wouldn't even know where to find a dojo that teaches it. I don't know what Garner has learned, I'm just relating what I read in Maxim a while back.

I read an online review of the movie - and it got slammed. No big surprise.

I thought Daredevil was OK, but could definitely have been done better (I can't believe they left Stick out entirely). I do give them credit for getting the fight between Elektra and Bullseye down almost word-for-word as it was done in the comic. That still remains as one of the most pivotal points in Daredevil's history and - thank goodness - they didn't muck it up.

I couldn't go see Elektra in theaters even if I wanted to. I'm still recovering from surgery and it will be a few more weeks before I'm strong enough to leave the house by myself. I probably will rent it on DVD when it comes out. Then again, I will also probably buy a copy of Daredevil on DVD eventually also.

The special effects and fighting sequences look pretty good and I'm used to relatively lame storylines after being a comic fan for years and years. I think Elektra will be better than Catwoman. Then again, that isn't saying much.

Did Catwoman come out already? I lost track of it...

I actually liked the story of daredevil more than the one in Electra...

I watch those movies to see people in costumes hitting each others, so I don't mind if the story is thin, as long as I can follow it.

The one in electka... Without giving spoilers, there's this legend about this person who can supposedly end the conflict between good and evil (Star Wars?), but the way they played it out, it seem more like a reason to keep fighting than an actual prophecy...

Also, why did they help Elektra after what happened to her in Daredevil? How did she get where she woke up if she was in such a bad condition?
