"But the question is still open and is still discussed in this forum."

As m-w defines it, a bug is a flaw; a defect. If something was intended to exist, it's not a defect. However, if something exists and it is not clear whether it was intended or a defect, or if it is neither a defect nor directly intended but can be abused to a great extent, it's classically called "cheese."

"I will still give the same answer. I was questioning which actions was cheating and which actions was not cheating, not if it is wrong to cheat or not. . . Feeling sorry for someone is not the same as to condemn someone by saying that their actions are 'wrong'."

It answers the question of whether cheating in BG is wrong by saying the only harm done is to oneself. Therefore, in alignment terms, one might say cheating in BG amounts to "neutral." ;)

"Yes - but it is still YOUR definition. We all got our own definition of what is cheating and what is not in this game. It is the main reason why this topic is still discussed years after the release."

It's still discussed because many people have under-developed notions of what cheating is. Some of the "gray areas" you mentioned could be defined as legit/cheating while some others can only be branded "cheese."

"I normally hate to go into arguments like this, but something in your post worked like a red rag to a bull on me."

I think it may have something to do with my 3 Charisma.

"BTW: Have you by any chance played DII on Bnet?"

Pfft. D1. ;)

Lemmy, Insanebane, you two are the only ones bothering with this topic. Kindly stop waisting posts and just pm this utterly boring debate you have going here. Or, even better, since neiter one of you can convince the other to switch their point of view, just drop it all together.
