My druid is level 30, and yes, the elemental changes aren't that great, except the air elemental change is quite nice i can assure you. when i do that with my druid he gets a 30 in dexterity, making a pretty nice armor class. and i too was a bit dissapointed about the other shapechange elements, they really should have given you resistances and bonuses, but for some reason they didn't. Like the earth elemental should be resistant to some certain weapon types, maybe it's just me but if i took a club and smacked the ground with it, i don't think im going to do much damage to the ground, seeing as how an earth elemental should have several resistances to weapon types and be totally immune to any electricle damage (lightning bolt, chain lightning, gedlees electric loop), actually im not sure if an earth elemental is already immune to that, I'll have to check.

I am so disappointed! You are all forgetting on the best class! A Ranger/Rouge! Any race will do! Since the ranger already focuses on the hide skill, and your rouge gets a generous amount of feats, you could kick some serious...hordling tail with one of those. And equip one with a bow (since of course your character has high dexterity) and you're set to go. But if it was a dwarf, make it a returning warhammer, i can't stand the sight of dwarves with bows

I have to say Wizard/Druid is the best class.. Drow or Teifling, cos they hav bonus INT. Druids hav hardly any defense spells, and gr8 offensive spells, wizards hav defensive spells. an when the spells run out, Shapechange

I also love ranger-roGues. Any race will do if you want to go with a 50/50 mix. Otherwise, races with no favored class or a favored class of rogue are best. |
I,m only at the fortress at the moment but out of my four party members. Their stats are L6 rogue which seems a bit
weak with only 40hp,fighter L7/paladin L2 with with 90hp,barbarian L7 with 100hp,cleric(order of the helm)L6 with 40hp. So IMHO the fighter/paladin and Barbarian are the best stat wise. |
still think sorcerers are the best

I think mages are the best (especially Iluusionist). Say if an illusionist was in a battle with a class that uses tactile blows or contact or even any other class if you were powerful enough you could make them kill their freinds or even themselves

any class will work wonders if you know how to use them.

I sugest NEVER taking the Monck! He's fatal. In Baldur's Gate he was many times better, and the Quivering Palm (or something) was working. Now I never succeded in using it (with every possible bonuses and no armor of course). And the armour- now my dwarf-fighter have 27 and stupid monck only 17 (with bonus to AC). It's useless. I prefer plate armour and scimitar +4 in place of his fist. So none of his abilities are usefull.
