Chromatic Orb is the best spell in Icewind Dale I. I don't know why it has been changed for IWDII, but here it actually killed if a saving throw was failed. If succeded, it would paralyze. Can't go wrong. And what's with those level 8 & 9 spells? If you could only reach level 14, why include them? Casting scrolls, maybe?

Without the expansion the only use would be to cast them from scrolls. </font>
