This is why foreknowledge of the game is vital... If you're not soloing a mage with means of protecting themselves from imprisonment constantly, you need to know exactly when you're in danger of being imprisoned, mazed, and (to a lesser extent) charmed. This means battles, yes, but also traps.

Well, i did start to solo a few days ago with my new Ranger/Cleric character and beated Kangaax with the Everard. Also my level is 13/14(Ranger/Cleric), how many of you have beated him at such a low level and without spell protections(i didn't/couldn't use spells).

On a more serious note, it is the Berserker's Enrage that grants immunity to Imprisonment, not Barbarian's Rage.

someone posted once that depending on the patch installed, (i forget the details) lich scripts will detect state berserk, and not try to imprison you..

protection from magic scrolls are your friend...they will protect from imprison...get the helm in adventure mart that casts simmy, to have your simmy cast them, thus reuse them over and over...otherwise, the two scrolls in the game are not likely to last you past chapter 2...

How could i use a protection from magic scroll if my character is a Ranger/Cleric and he can't use scrolls???? I bashed the door open. Also Userunfriendly it's strange, i always see more than 2 protection from magic scrolls, like 10 or more. Must be the mods and patches i have installed, but you may never know...

you were lucky to get the door open though, i've just soloed an archer and she couldn't get the door open no way no how - i had to 'roleplay' refusing the reward from the thieves guildmaster in exchange for the use of a thief (actually yoshimo) for a few minutes [img]smile.gif[/img]

not for me - i drew upon holy might on top of potions for 25 STR but it was no good - not to worry i quite enjoyed my 'creative' solution (although i still can't really justify randomly breaking into city houses with my good aligned defender of country folk ;) )

And they can be used by anyone? Even fighters? How come i never saw them, or notice them? Are you sure it's not part of a mod?
