Well, i have my ways of getting my previous equipment and it's not cheating. I will begin soloing at the beginning. I will play in a multiplayer type of game, not singleplayer, but it will only be me.

I normally wouldn't say something like this, Moon Child, because I firmly believe in not criticizing other players or being condescending towards their tactics. But if you are loading new players with equipment gained from previous games by other characters, then that IS cheating.

If it was the equipment you gained playing through BGI, I would agree with you (I used a well-known glitch to allow my first BGII character to retain his equipment from BGI). But if you are giving Crom Faeyr to your ranger in Chateau Irenicus - then you are throwing game balance right out the window.

Sorry, I don't mean to rant. It IS your game and you should feel free to play it however you like. I just find it rather strange that you were so worried about getting "legit" stats, yet you've got Crom Faeyr tucked away just waiting for your ranger to pick it up before he has even begun his adventures in BGII. Ok, so then i won't give myself any new weapons. I`ll simply start without anything. But now i've changed my mind ;) . What stats would be good for a multiclassing Cleric/Ranger?

Well it's not that hard to deal with. A C/R should (IMO) look something like this:
STR 16
DEX 19
CON 16
INT 12
WIS 18
CHR 3 :D

It's not neccesseraily to give him/her these stats but something in this direction. You don't need really high STR and CON points because a C/R is a master of buffs.

That looks pretty good, although I would definitely try to raise his Charisma at least a little bit. I agree that Con and Strength aren't as important because of the buffs and armor that the character can wear, but I would still try to get at least a 17 in Con because of the Fighters Con Bonus to hit points (+3/level as opposed to +2 for other classes. Con of 18 gives +4 hp/level). Buffs are great, but you can never have too many hit points.

As you pointed out yourself, Moon Child, there are a number of items that enhance your Strength and many are available early in the game (Girdle of Hill Giant Strength specifically, but there are also some weapons available that increase your Strength score by a set number).

Despite my earlier rant, I really like the idea that you are going to dual-wield hammers instead of swords for your Ranger. That's a nice change of pace that isn't seen very often. And if you decide to multiclass to cleric, that weapon choice will be even more beneficial for your character.

Does the "if your character has less than 9 INT he/she can't take properly?" or is that only in IWD?

I don't remember that in IWD, but it surelly was in NWN, and as far as i know you, the speech isn't effected. Ok so these are my new stats(no going back):

str-17
dex-18
cons-18
int-11
wis-18
chr-10

I've done that since i've finished ToB (a long time ago). I never dual-wield swords(not worth it IMHO).

IWD, NWN, all the same to me ;) just another game waiting for Ivelliis the Elven Ranger to create his legend, and your stats are quite good, how long it take to roll a 92? usually I only get 80's

It took me like 5-10 minutes (i used a calculater and kept rolling the dice and calculating the roll). I started soloing like yesterday and i have gone quite far, though i didn't leave the city, yet.

Moon-Child_Lman 09-18-2004 02:28 AM

I left the city did D'Arnise Keep and Trademeet...
