Diablo? I bought that in the same week that I sold it. Completed too easily, barely any interaction with NPCs, the Street Fighter of the RPG world. Hack, slash, buy, rest. Hack, slash, buy, rest. Hack, slash, buy, rest.
Planescape on the other hand, is utter class. It should be made on gold discs, and played only by the Pope.

PS:T is a good choice for an RPG. Riven is the decent sequel to Myst, and I've found it for less than 10 bucks in stores. Vampire: the Masquerade and Dracula: Resurrection fall in between BG and D2.

If you need a NWN-style fix, there's always Dungeon Keeper for people who like building dungeons. ;)

And there's always Frisbee.

diablo ii is alright
but it suffers from a lack of classes.

diablo is an AWESOME multiplayer game... no need for character interaction or whatnot... u get character interaction from the other 7 players in the game HAHA!i might be mistaken but the level of action in the game beats any black isle game (but i agree with others its one really bad single-player rpg)

Diablo is a mere powergaming game. The action is so straightforward, while in roleplay games like BG there is tactics involved, especially so with mods like weimer's.
