Yeah, yeah, i know, they're all half decent... But Arcane spells are simply better. +1 ApR trumps +1 THAC0, etc... This discussion has been done to death between me and Butterfingers.
The thing is, one doesn't have to choose between a mage and a cleric I'd sure do much better with just a mage than with just a cleric, but I'd do even better with a mage and a cleric. They provide a wide selection of party-friendly protection and combat boosting spells that mages simply don't have access to, and they thus complement them very well. I don't even need to sacrifice anything for it! Both of my members with clerical spells have another primary use. One is the most capable fighter in my group, and the other is a decent mage as well.

Three words: Shield of Reflection. ;)
Meh, Reflection shield is cheese Think I'll just use Prot from Fire in the future

Remember that Flame Arrow consists of piercing and fire damage, so fire immunity will still not fully protect your party member.

On another note, Chaotic Commands.

Yep. Either Pro-Fire+Stoneskin, Pro-Fire+100% Piercing Resistance or some kind of turning effect (Spell Turning and the like, the Shield, Physical Mirror).

Alternatively, Greenstone Amulet.

As far as finding a Mass Invisibility scroll is concerned, I've noticed that enemy Skeleton Warriors are excellent sources of mid- to high-level scrolls, up to 8th level. In fact, in one game I got annoyed because I kept NOT finding any good random spells, so I abused the Skeleton Warrior Machine in the Temple District until I got one.

And Alson, I know how much you love Druids, but the fact of the matter is that despite their five good spells, the only thing that can make them "better" than a Cleric is Nature's Beauty, a spell so damaged that I regard it as a bug, and therefore will never cast. Recall that in our hypothetical Solo Cleric vs. Solo Druid encounter, the ONLY thing that kept the Druid alive was the Amulet of Power. Since a Druid would only *be* wearing the Amulet in a Solo Druid game, we may safely conclude that the other 99.94% of games played would include a Cleric whipping a Druid's backside. (Barring overpowered Shapeshifter MODs, of course.)

Next volley, Bolt of Glory.

Ooh, excellent! Will have to try that right away. Or, ehr, as soon as I get out of Watcher's Keep. I just had to run through it in SoA to get a few more needed level-ups because I doubted I could deal with Imp Irenicus without Lvl 9 spells or HLA's.

What "Skeleton Warrior Machine" are you talking about btw?

Hey, I gave you the map area, figure the rest out for yourself.

And I correct myself--Skellies can drop up to Level *9* spells. I abused the Machine today (damned Cowled Wizards didn't even have any moderately good scrolls, except Incendiary Cloud), and stopped when I got a Spell Trap.
Six - is it possible you are refering to the:
* Temple District--->Sewers--->Quest: Cult of Unseeying Eye--->Get the other piece of the Rift Device--->Bridge that collapses when you get near it... you have to solve some riddle's before the bridge is repaired... there are 2 riddle's you have to solve, when the first answer is wrong the bridge (Voice) summons a Skeleton Warrior (he keeps summoning until you get the anwser correctly), when the second Riddle is answerd wrongly he summons a Greater Ghast..or vice versa.. Am I correct?*
Because I do not know a other place in the Temple District where Skeleton Warriors are summoned on a regular basis.

You are correct, Annatar. An infinite amount of each of the 3 types of Undead, and you get to choose which. But you're right, you can only do it once.

Spoiler-ish
The order is Ghast, Skeleton Warrior, Greater Mummy. Get a question wrong to get your free summoned Undead. NOTE: Death Spell will not kill them.

Couldn't do that Skeleton Warrior Machine trick since I completed that quest long before making this thread.

But problem's solved, I got a whole slew of them scrolls now, thanks to that friendly chap Pontifex. He sure does make sure you're well equipped before taking on the Ritual.
