Tancred was quite correct in his evaluation of the pair, but my motives had powergaming in mind--I was thinking of a unique pair of Gauntlets that they both need. My opinion is, if somebody's a Tank class, they should bloody well Tank. Then again, you could just as easily give the Gauntlets to Anomen and have him Tank, with Keldorn going the "Kensai Tank" route, swinging a 2-handed weapon from the 2nd rank--but that's just not my style.

I think Anomen is probably the best non-PC tank in the game. With his clerical skills, he can buff himself. He can wear all the best armour, he's part fighter, and when you fight undead there's nothing like walking into a room and having every explode on sight.

Jan IS a funny bugger, but my favorite has GOT to be minsc and boo. They have been my favorite pair since the days of BG1, and they're the only ones who find theselves in my party nearly everytime I play (nearly, because I don't mix them in evil parties)

Jaheira sucks. The only thing i enjoyed about having her with me was when the guy puts a knife to her throat, and I called his bluff. It turned out he wasn't bluffing, lol.

Aerie is an excellent backup mage, and good enough for most clerical jobs if you don't want Anomen.
