And I only have 4 party members right now (assassin, Minsc, Jaheira, Yoshimo). This is only my 2nd time through BGII, so I'm not ready to try a solo game yet, but I was thinking of keeping my party at 4-5 members instead of 6 so I could level-up faster (especially my assassin).

Anyway, Yoshimo's traps really worked well the last time through and now my assassin can add a couple more. Since I have to Rest before I can set more anyway, I decided I might as well go ahead and clear out the circus tent. Add Aerie to the party to replace Imoen's lost mage spells and then head back. I DO plan to take these guys out before leaving the Promenade if at all possible. I may send my assassin back up to the fletcher shop and see if I can swipe some arrows of dispelling and arrows of biting. Turn Yoshi into an Uzi. I also tried "luring" the fighter closest to the door outside the room without uncovering the rest of the party. Didn't work. The mage and thief came running to his aid...but the dwarf didn't show up yet.

I'll probably clean the circus up tonight then head back for "Round 2" with those guys.</font>

They're actually very, very easy with the party you have (+ Aerie), and a few decent spells. Launch a web in there fast, a stinking cloud or somehitng, then (magic) missile them to death. They are tough, with alot of HP (especially the dwarf), but they can't hurt you when they're webbed. Fireballs are cool too, after the web.

Never fails for me

Of course, they may be improved by the Weimer Tactics Mod, which I don't have, in which case, ignore me ;)

I did not realize the "Poison Weapon" ability lasted for more than one application and that it would affect ANY weapons (or traps) I handled during that time period. I will also have to test this theory out later this evening. :D </font>
My pleasure.

I wanted to ran a test or two on this just to be sure and to give you more precise answers, but i'm baldur-less until tomorrow. I will wait for your results, then. :D

Nope Cerek: it IS the Vorpal Silver Sword :D

I wanted to show a friend Firkraag cuz he likes dragons. So I just loaded up my savegame and went into Firkraags lair. Started hitting him cuz I wanted to make Fir yell at me. Suddenly big red dies!! WTH?? LoL, Vorpal Power dude!

Hmmm, actually, back at GW, they had this one dragon slaying tactic, and I really, no I REALLY doubt this works, but someone might wanna try it. What you do is cast Doom or Greater Malison on the dragon several times, where his saving throws and resistances are knocked down far enough where you can cast Chromatic Orb and kill him.
This is a valid tried and tested tactic. ;) I have successfully petrified and slain Dragons using Chromatic Orbs. Why... I have even witnessed Dragons screaming in fear from Spook and/or Insect Plague.

Initial testing on the poisoned traps hasn't gone well...

I certainly couldn't get it working by using PW before setting the trap. It was probably just too late at night for my brain to work.
