Sanchuudoku +4: Acidic Katana
This green blade was forged by a Kara-Turan Wu Jen as a gift for his paranoid overlord; its name means "Acidic Poisoning". The sword was enchanted using the fresh blood of a Black Dragon and the hilt guard is decorated with Wolfwere bone fragments. The blade heals its user's wounds at an alarming rate and powerful acid seem to fly from it whenever an attack is made on the user.

STATISTICS:

Equipped Abilities: Regeneration (1 hit point per second), Immunity to Acid, anyone attacking or casting spells on the wielder is subject to an Acidic Backlash.
Combat Ability: Each hit lowers the target's acid resistance by 25% for 18 seconds and inflicts 2d4 acid damage.
THACO: +4 bonus
Damage: 1D10 +4
Damage type: slashing
Weight: 8
Speed Factor: 0
Proficiency Type: Katana
Type: 1-handed
Unusable By: Cleric, Druid, Mage
Damn... to heck with the Celestial Fury, this baby can just about kill anything.

I wouldn't say to heck with C.F. I would say dual wield

</font>
It looks like I'm going to have to find this Hindo's Doom. Since I've finally beat Irenicus! Yes! I kept using my earthquake/insect plague(gotta love those Planeters) on him until he's finally laying flat on his back and I walk up with one foot on his chest and let out a mighty roar of victory. If I knew how to take and post some screenshots I would have. I did take a casualty however. His hatred of magic cosumed him in life as it did in his demise. He served valiantly until the end. RIP Valygar Corinthal(spelling). On to TOB. :D

You would be one of only two people I know prefer Hindo to Fury. Presumably you're talking about Hindo +4, which is only available for the last two stages in the game (you get Hindo's Hand in the Abazigal Dungeon, so you have Sendai, Balthazar, Watcher's Keep and The End in which to enjoy it).

The Magic Resistance bonus can be very nice, but the big kicker is the built-in death ward. The problem here is that most people play with parties and most parties have a cleric, so getting death ward is not a big deal. If you are playing a solo F/T or F/M or T/M, you don't really need death ward: by that time in ToB your level is so high that you can do all of the tricks a normal high level mage can, so you won't really get scratched. A solo fighter, however, might find Hindo to be quite useful.

Sanchu looks strong but is mostly defensive. I'd rather have Fury stunning something than deal a bit of extra acid damage.

How did you get 3 ninth level spells? I have a 17th level elven mage with a full scroll case of ninth scrolls, but I cant mem. them.

If you have ToB installed, the Xp Cap is raised.
