lurin rushed to the light and collapsed oh his knees, obviously very happy to be out of the dungeon. "thank the gods" he said estaticly.
turning to the group he smiled "thank you my friends for helping me out of this my friends. i hope that we are not going to break up yet, i would like to talk and be merry" with that lurin kneeling falls back onto the grass |
Turgon rushed towards the door. Was it really daylight? He had hard to believe it.
He ran up the stairs, and looked around. It truly was fresh air he was breathing! The sun high at the sky burned in his eyes for the first minute, but he soon got used to it. "Thank Mystra!," he thought. "I was starting to wonder if we'd ever get out!" He took a deep breath, to get out the last remainings of the dungeon-air. A chill went through his body, and all of a sudden, Turgon felt refreshed. All the tiredom disappeared with the chilling wind, and all the bad happenings down in the dungeon was beyond him. He smiled at Lurin, before he turned against the stairs again, welcoming Skye and Pathris up from the dungeon. "Well, finally we are out. And about time too!" Without wondering what to do now, Turgon looked around at the surroundings, trying to get a clue as to where they were. |
(ooc: Congrats everybody! And good luck finding civilization! I'll give you a worthless hint: You're on the main island. ;)
Oh, and quick clue-in. Though it is February on the island, the temperature is always gonna be pretty nice. ;) Spree gives you nice warm climate... Take Pathris to the beach now, it's all good. :D And if he makes you mad, throw him in the volcano. ) The Party Ah, fresh air... When you reach the surface you are greeted by warm, plentiful gusts of wind. The sky was a serene blue patched with puffy white clouds. Looking to the sun you wagered it was just after noon. It was a beautiful day, the world seeming to apologize for the horrors you had endured. The vast dungeon you had crawled from was little more than an easily concealable staircase in the ground here on the surface. It seemed this place was to be hidden to those who did not seek it. Which meant, unfortunately for you, there were no roads in sight. All around you stretched vast plains and slight crests of somewhat short green grass. A few thick, tall trees dotted the landscape. There was nothing else in sight. It was probably best to just pick a direction and get moving. [ 02-06-2003, 01:32 PM: Message edited by: Killing Spree ] |
ooc: Oh boy! The beach! :D Of course, Skye and Spree can come with me. No fun unless girls are there, of course. ;) Pathris will enjoy it, I think. He doesn't get out much, I fear. :D
Since Lurin seemed to have ignored the question, Pathris shot the last insect as Skye opened the next door. "Maybe I should've let this one out to give the others a scare," he thought as he watched it die. He followed the others outside. He smiled as he felt the sun on his face for the first time and a long time. But his joy faded fast as he looked around and saw no signs of civilization. While normally this wouldn't bother him, the simple fact that he had no idea where he was made him a bit uncomfortable. Would his sense of direction be any use here? "I suppose that knowing which random direction we're going in is better than not." He looked at the others. "Well, which direction do you think we should go?" ooc: Would my skill in Intuit Direction (or whatever it is) be able to give us which way is north (wrong or not?)? |
Skye took a refreshing breath of fresh clean air, heaving a happy sigh. Glancing down at Ryukari, who romped about her feet, she smiled, glad she was able to rescue the small one. Overhearing Pathris, she looked at the amulet she had received, and focused on it. Perhaps it will point the way...
ooc- sorry to hear that k-spree :( hope you're feeling better |
(ooc: Bloody internet! Grrrr.... *Tosses internet in the volcano.*)
Pathris Yes, your intuit direction skills will help out here. (Rolls an 11) You're pretty sure that way is North, towards that exceptionally large tree there... Skye The amulet doesn't do a thing. Guess you'll have to figure this one out on your own. |
Turgon happily sighed, and looked at Pathris. "Well, I'm not very known in the wild," he replied. "But perhaps Lurin can help us here, being a woodsman and all."
Looking down at Lurin, Turgon continued. "In any matter, I suggest we take a quick rest before continuing. I know we are likely to soon by followed by this master's troops, but that dungeon sure have sapped alot of my strength." Hoping the others would agree, Turgon sat down next to Lurin, and tried to relax as much as possible. |
Pathris concentrated for a moment, trying to get his bearings. He had a good sense of direction, and after a few seconds, he felt he knew which way was north. "Well, I'm now pretty sure that north is that way," he said to the others, pointing towards an exceptionally large tree. "I don't know if that helps or not, but maybe it'll help us come to a decision on a direction to travel in."
He looked at Lurin and Turgon, who were sitting on the ground. "Well, I suppose a few minutes of rest would be okay, but I think we should put some distance between this place and us. It doesn't matter the direction, so much as the distance. The further the better, in my opinion." |
OOC>>> Forgive me, Spree, but I just couldn't resist popping by and giving you one of those rib-crushing hugs :D Once I find the time, I'll read up on your adventure... and I expect to be thoroughly entertained ;)

Turgon thankfully nodded, and closed his eyes. He tried as much as possible to get some sleep, but his head was full of too many thoughts, thoughts which wouldn't allow him to sleep. Where were they? Are they safe? Where to now?
After a little while, Turgon stood up. "I can't manage to sleep, there's too many thoughts in my head. The little breeze have refreshed me enough though, so we might as well head off right away. If it's ok for you, of course." He smiled, and looked at the others. He didn't like the thought of them splitting up, he had grown quite fond of them. "I wish I wasn't so sentimental," he thought to himself, hoping they would atleast stick together until they came to some civilization. |
