Calaethis turned to the... 'big one'... "I thank you, but please, I can look after myself, and I am not a child, I am... an addolescent, I do not wish to appear ungrateful, but.. I would prefer to handle this myself, we should save our wrath for our enemies. Oh, and I don't put up with *anything* from Alliene, she's saved my life more then once, and whats more, she's my cousin... please, I do not want her to..." Calaethis turned away, and walked off, taking the half-drow with him. Then he took the drows hand, and raised it to his lips. "Forgive me, I forgot that you had been locked up in that hell hole..." trailing off he glanced at his cousin... "Shall we slightly aback from the party? I do not wish... ears to hear..." Calaethis glanced again at his cousin and muttered to the half drow "I bet she'll have words with me later" Then he offered the drow his arm. "My lady" and nodded his head. "So tell me, why is it you dislike water...?"

In an attempt to deflect Calaethis' questions she turned, glaring at Daemmon she said simply "This is between me and Calaethis. You should not be listening, little boy."

Calaethis grinned, "Perhaps I could teach you at some point..." then he flushed "I am sorry for you're loss, it is enough to put anyone off swimming... please, I do not wish to distrub you by further questions about it..."

Calaethis shakes his head, and sighes, then he takes Kaltia by the arm, and lifts up her chin with one hand, gently but firmly "Forgive me, I did not mean to bring up painful memories, it must have been sheer hell in the Underdark, how did you survive? No matter, you're amounst elves now, we won't let anything happen to you."

“Sheer Hell? I guess you could say that. I survived for the first three years by keeping a low profile, hiding at the back of the pens when we were auctioned, etc. However…I was discovered in the fourth year…” with this she glanced away. “I’m sorry Calaethis, but I guess I don’t know you enough to talk about this.”
