<font color="gold">The door silently opened as Turgo gave it a push. A chill went through his body.
When entering, he immediatly noticed the three hobgoblins. "Darn!," he thought, as he also noticed the centipedes. His houghts went over to cussing when the centipedes alerted the hobgoblins.
Hearing Pathris' scream, Turgon fired his prepared Magic Missile at the hobgoblin who ran against the pen. Right after his spell was finished, he again started muttering some words, before a flare of many lights (read: Color Spray) erupted from his fingertips, and flew against his foes.</font>

(ooc: Skye, these snuggly little cuties are of my own custom breed. Don't worry, they only eat boys.
At Starshadow. That's the next room, duh! ;)
I may not be on the rest of the day ya'll. I've felt about ready to puke all day. :( )

<font color=gold>The Party</font>

<font color=steelblue>Pathris
To-Hit: 17 + 6 = 23 *SUCCESS*
Damage: 2
</font>
<font color=indianred>Turgon
Magic Missile: 2 + 1 = 3
Color Spray: Hits the two charging hobgoblins. One succeeds in his will saving throws. The other is blinded for two rounds and stunned for one.</font>
(Let me just say ya'll are VERY lucky the littlest hobgoblin went for the pen!)

Pathris shot at the hobgoblin running towards the pen, the arrow piercing its shoulder and spurting blood all about. The highly disciplined hobgoblin seemed to force himself through the pain, not faltering half a second and continuing on his set task. Turgon's magic missile hit the creature in the side, knocking it several feet to the side and killing it. The remaining two hobgoblins might have changed tactics at this venue, but the hatred in their eyes for you elven types was immense. One of them was effected by Turgon's magic missile, being dumbly frozen in his tracks, but the other continued his charge, thrusting his spear at Turgon. He missed horribly though, the head of the weapon landing a blow at the floor.

Skye, checking how the fight seemed to be going, retaliated at the hobgoblin who had attempted (ooc- I dont think even Skye is that bad at fighting.. ^^; not that Im complaining of course.. ;) ) to stab Turgon. Hefting one of her many throwing daggers, she got close enough that it would make a decent impact on the hobgoblin when it struck. Skye threw it at the gap between the hobgoblin's armour and it's chin (otherwise known as the neck ;) ). She pulled out another dagger, keeping a wary eye open for any other surprises or attacks.

ooc- k-spreeeee, you didnt reply to my pm :( *pouts*

<font color=lightgreen>Pathris breathed a sigh of relief as he saw the hobgoblin heading toward the pen fall and not get up after Turgon's magic hit it. With that out of the way, the Elf turned toward the two threats in front of him. He didn't have a clear view of the hobgoblins with everyone in front of him, so he waited until he could see an opening before shooting. "I'll shoot when you guys open up a shot for me," he shouted over the din of the fighting.</font>

ooc: I'm assuming that Lurin is going to melee them, which means that Pathris' view is going to be obstructed.

I only posted so that if DA shows up in the morning, Spree can continue with the battle without having to wait for me to post my next response.

<font color="gold">Turgon, seeing the effect of his Magic Missile, saw no reason to stop using it, and immediatly started preparing a new one. He was so concentrated that he almost didn't notice the Hobgoblin charging towards him with a spear. Luckily for him, though, the Hobgoblin missed totally.
It was still enough to disrupt his spell, though. Cussing, he prepared another spell, and made sure he wasn't in Pathris' way. Soon after, he fired a Ray of Frost at the Hobgoblin who still was able to see, hoping it would finish it off. "And now, if Pathris and Lurin can kill that final one..." he thought.

(ooc: I'm sowwy!!! Forgive me!! *Gives Skye chocolate-covered Toby.* ;)
I didn't get an e-mail about it, so I didn't see it til late last night. I'll reply ASAP.)

<font color=orchid>Skye
To-Hit: 15 + 3 = 18 *SUCCESS*
Damage: 4 + 2 = 6</font>

<font color=indianred>Turgon
Ray Of Frost: 2 + 1 = 3</font>

<font color=gold>The Party</font>
As Skye aimed her strike for the hobgoblin, it violently pulled up its spear, causing it to stagger back a few steps. Because of this, her strike was a little low, and she hit the creature in the chest instead of the neck. The creature involuntarily yelped, then regained his disciplined mind and made thrust at Skye with his spear. He made contact, the sharp head of the spear goring straight through the side of Skye's shin; only a flesh wound, but quite painful and bloody nonetheless. <font color=orchid>(4 points of damage, 8 hp left.)</font> The hobgoblin cried out victoriously, pulling back his spear for another strike, but the sound was cut drastically short as Turgon's ray of frost hit the creature in the throat and killed it. Now there was one hobgoblin left and those penned centipedes...

ooc- hehe, won't Kuroshi be jealous? ;)
What ever happened to Ryukari?

ic- Skye winced at the spear wound, and tore off a strip of fabric and wrapped it around in order to staunch the blood flow. Even though it was a light wound, she didn't think bleeding to death was quite necessary. <font color="skyblue">"I think you can handle the last hobgoblin,"</font> she called out to no one in particular. Skye glanced at the pent-up centipedes. <font color="skyblue">"What shall we do with them?"</font>

Lord Starshadow 01-30-2003 03:42 AM

<font color=lightgreen>Pathris watched as Skye hit one of the hobgoblins with a throwing knife. The throw was true, but the hobgoblin recovered and caught Skye with a spear thrust along shin. Pathris prepared to shoot, but Turgon got there with a spell first, killing it. Pathris nodded at the spellcaster as he moved out the way, and Pathris adjusted himself to get a clear shot at the last hobgoblin. With a loud twang, he loosened an arrow, hoping that it'd find its mark.</font>

(ooc: This is going to be a lamely short post, but I have a big fat honors geography test tomorrow I need to study for, so sorry!
By the way: I'm thinking of resizing and brushing up my world map and scanning it up for you all soon. Can't scan the current one, it has the top-secret location of "The Valley Of The Pop-Tarts" marked on it.)

<font color=gold>The Party</font>

<font color=steelblue>Pathris
To-Hit: AUTOMATIC SUCCESS
Damage: 6 + 2 = 8</font>

Pathris's arrow hit the dazed hobgoblin smack in the forehead. The paralyzed creature fell back with a thud, dead. The centipedes were clamoring in their pen, but you saw nothing stopping you from dashing off into the next room if you so desired. There was only one other door leading out of here...

Lord Starshadow 01-31-2003 12:34 AM

<font color=lightgreen>Pathris watched as his arrow flew true, hitting his dazed target and killing it. He sneered as he stepped over the dead hobgoblins entering the room. He fitted and arrow and bent his bow back, preparing to fire on the insects. "Should I kill them or do you want to just move past? Personally, I'd shoot them first, just to be safe."</font>
