Lyulfe

Lyulfe eyed the opening of the cave and the grave warily, running his fingers through his blue-tinted brown hair. Sighing, he sat himself down next to the unconscious Rong.

<font color="darkseagreen">"Decisions, decisions... Things were more simple with Skye here, she'd dash into the most dangerous place around, and I'd follow."</font> he smiled slightly at the old memories, then looked down at Rong and gently touched her cheek with a long finger. <font color="darkseagreen">"Although things are just as nice now, if not nicer,"</font> he added, looking at her unconscious form with bewitching purple-azure eyes.

Observing their surroundings once more, the elf stood and dusted himself off before carefully scooping his unconscious companion up and talking tentative steps towards the cave.

<font color="darkseagreen">'I won't go all the way in, because with Rong unconscious still she may get hurt if we run into any danger, but I won't stay out here for that... creature to find us again. Or anyone else, for that matter. I can only hope that my fellow adventurers were kind enough to clean the entrance of any unwanted creatures,'</font> Lyulfe thought drily, keeping up a running monologue in his head as he surveyed the entrance, looking for a place out of the way and somewhat hidden for him to sit.

ooc- description of inside the cave?

"Well the thieves were supposed to have cleaned the place out anyway."-Andrion said referring to what the dead had told him in the cavern above.

Roderik however seemed to be acting stranger lately. Andrion thought about what situations might arise, but did not do anything about it for the moment.

Andrion started walking down the torch lit tunnel.</font>

OOC: Andrion is just going to continue walking down the tunnel until he encounters anything or anything encounters him.

As Andrion walks down the corridor, the only thing he sees moving are the torches dancing in their fiery glow. After a timely walk, he comes to a turn in the corridor, and as he turns left around the corner, he sees two doors. The one on the left is open, and several rocks lay scattered about. Inside the room, you see many tables of jewels and gold in piles. It looks like a dragon horde, except with no dragon present.

The door on the right is made of what appears to be black polished stone. There is no handle, nor keyhole. A cobweb hangs in the upper right corner of the doorway. </font>

<font color=white>For Lyulfe and Rong:

Quoted from two previous posts:

The initial room was like any other cave that one might expect to find in the land. Stalagtites and stalagmites were about. Mushrooms grew in dark, wet corners. A distant dripping was heard in echo throughout the vast room. A cold steely air blew about.

To the right, you see the tunnels disappear into darkness and to the left you see a faint light.

The ground of the cavern is made of stone. With expert eyes, one can see that this cavern was initially blasted into existance long ago. Something of ancient times formed this room out of pure granite on purpose. However, over hundreds of years, the mountain has been trying to reclaim it's lost mass.</font>

Andrion dismissed all of the treasure in the room on the left as he recognized it from the dead man's description as the illusionary treasure. Instead he concentrated on the black polished surface of the door on the right.

He studied it to see whether there were any markings or runes on it. After that his attention wandered to the cobweb in the corner of the door. He looked whether any spider could be seen or any signs of how long the cobweb had been there.</font>

<font color=skyblue>She stops just at the edge of town, and narrows her eyes towards the tavern, then at Larry.....

"What do you want to do if they are not there? Do you want to wait on them?"

Lyulfe

Purple-azure eyes took in the gloomy, damp, and menacing cave. Searching for a reasonably dry alcove, the lanky elf finally chose a spot near mouth of the entrance to the slightly lit passage. He settled himself down with his legs crossed, Rong's unconscious form held close to him to protect her from the cold draft issuing from the cave.

After making sure that there did not appear to be any danger nearby, Lyulfe settled slightly worried eyes on Rong. He disliked using his ability, but he tentatively poked at Rong's unconscious mind. <font color="darkseagreen">"Rong..?"</font>

Skydracgrrl 06-04-2004 10:28 PM

<font color="goldenrod">Liam</font>

The lanky aristocrat shifted his weight slightly in response to KayLisa's question addressed to Larry. <font color="goldenrod">"If they arre not back yet, perrhaps I may parrtake my leave for a few moments? I must check up on some things,"</font> Liam asked, blinking his golden eyes slowly in KayLisa and Larry's direction.

<font color=aqua>Larry

"Uh...okay, Liam...you can go where you need to. I think we are good for now, but I'll need you again when we get going. Maybe check in with us tomorrow?"

Larry heard Tao ask the question, and said that he'd run in and see if they were indeed back yet. He came back shortly after looking saddened. He responded that the Candle Team had not been seen since the departure.

He asked his two remaining companions...

"So...I really had not counted on beating them back. But there is nothing to do except wait on them. It appears that the ones we fought with a few days ago in the tavern are not here, but the tension in the tavern is a bit heavy still. Chani has not come back home yet, and I am afraid she is the only one that can get my reputation back in there without causing more trouble. I guess we'll have to wait somewhere else.
Do any of you have an idea?"

<font color=orchid>Rong Er

Her forehead folded acutely and both eyelids fluttered open, revealing a pair of dark brown eyes swirling with tension. Without another word, she shook her head and stumbled out of Lyulfe's hold, half in daze and half in anticipation.

"Where are we?" Her voice was low, shakily so, and she wrapped her arms around herself, trying to dispel the chilly blanket that descended upon them so maliciously.</font>
