<font color="CCCC99">Detheriel

An audible exhale could be heard as Detheriel relaxed, seeing that no ambush lay in wait for them.

The storeroom was square, dimly lit by three torches in wall brackets, and filled with the faint odour of damp although none could be seen explicitly. The low stone ceiling gave the room an opressive feeling and it was not without a little haste that Detheriel moved forward, wanting to return outside as soon as possible.

Along the back wall was an assortment of wooden crates, many similar in design to the one that Telryn and Detheriel moved earlier. The lid of one was left carelessly cast to one side and the contents - a bundle of cheap looking garments - were scattered on the floor. The remaining crates are sealed; their contents remain a mystery. Along the right-hand side of the room were three smaller rather nondescript wooden chests, one of which was locked with an old padlock.

After surveying the room, Detheriel turned to his companions. "Well, it looks like a fair quantity of goods are here for the taking." He paused, thinking. "It will remain here for our return however. Perhaps we should ensure the tower is clear and report to our friends on the outside first? It is not good to remain separated for such a time."</font>

<font color=grey>Telryn Gate

Telryn nodded in reply to Detheriel - "If the tower isn't safe anything could walk in while our backs are turned."

<font color=lightblue> Indeed. Shall we all go back? Or should one or two stay here?

Keal 12-03-2005 08:27 PM

<font color=brown> Keal wakes up and hears someone speaking. He is in a large but still uncomfortable crate, and starts to kick with what little room he has saying, "Hey don't go let me outta here!"</font>

<font color="CCCC99"> Detheriel

"Perhaps it's best that we don't get sep..." Raising a quizzical eyebrow he broke off his sentence.

"Did you just hear something?" he asked his companions.

Drawing his knife, he moved cautiously towards the crates where he was sure he could hear a muffled banging.</font>

<font color=FFFF77>Ydalon

While the others searched the lower levels of the tower, Ydalon made his way back to the flight of stairs. He was pleased and excited, and just the smallest part anxious as well. The boy could feel it in his bladder.

After a brief delay half-way up, he felt more at ease facing what lay ahead. It was not that he expected trouble, though there would be a good deal of that if it wasn't there...

Passing an arrow slit at one landing, Ydalon peered out. He had hoped to catch a glimpse of those who waited outside, but it was clear he stood on the wrong end of the tower. He judged he was now between three and four floors up from the ground, for he was near level with the crests of the taller trees. The boy tore his eyes from the sight; he had no time to stand idle.

As he reached the fourth floor, the boy still did not waste a moment looking around. It was not haste, or fear of failure, but rather that there was nothing worth examining. A carved oaken door set in a stone arch would lead to a proper hall, room or corridor within the tower, whilst another flight of stairs led up to the final level. He had warned them not to go there.

There was where he went.

At last, he halted, turned about, and sat down at the top of the stairs. His legs were on fire, his lungs were on fire, and his head was spinning. Whatever he sought here could wait until his body was ready to leave the memory of the taxing ascent behind him.</font>

<font color=red>Nivram

His thoughts were in turmoil as he lay in the grass watching puffs of cloud moving fast on the wind in the upper reaches of the atmosphere. He heard no sound come from the inside of the tower, but then again it still was not long since the group had gone in there. Nivram wondered what they would find and how much resistance they might encounter.

His mind went over and over what had happened in the last few days. He had been really depressive in the bar and then the encounter with Isokla and the rest of the group. He wanted to believe that his depression was lessening, but going by prior experience he knew that whenever it started getting better it was usually followed by a worse period. He hoped it wouldn't happen this time.

He turned towards Isokla who had stayed silent.

"I have no idea why I tagged along with this group." Nivram said, speaking his thoughts aloud.</font>

I guess I can't use red anymore
<font color=brown> Keal

Keal stops for a second to give his legs a break. He leans onto one side, forgeting he was in a crate and he fell over onto his face. "Well at least now people will know I'm here."</font>

<font color=grey>Telryn Gale

"Hear what?" Telryn asked, stopping in his tracks and listening.

A slight bang.

He spun around, facing Detheriel as he creeped to the create.

"Be careful," He said quietly, "Could be a trap."</font color>

Zak sheathed his sword and stood in front of the crate, ready for a quick spell, just in case. <font color=lightblue> Go ahead, anything unfriendly pops out, it'll be extra crispy.
