<font color=orchid>Rong Er

Her lanky arms continued to hang limply by her side, her soft breathing the only sign that she was still alive. It seemed as if only a massive explosion would awaken her from this deep state of unconsciousness...</font>

Andrion began to climb down the rope himself, just as he had made the illusion do. The illusion ended when he began to do so. </font>

OOC>>>Just keep going from this point, guys. I think you have enough information to get to the next checkpoint on your own from what the skull told you of level three. I'll let you know if something needs looking into before then, if you happen to trip a trap or waken an ancient evil the wolrd has never before seen. Until then, just go with it.

<font color=white>For Lyulfe and Rong Er

The mysterious elf had risked much in what he did, but it was necessary to save Rong and himself from the creatures. They would never have guessed that the prey could just up and leave as simple as that. Their nest had been built in just the right place to prevent that.

On the ground, Lyulfe and Rong Er were now located. They were lucky to not have landed on the far side of this mountain, which was Evil Moderator/Mage/Shadow Country. They in fact landed upon the same ground from which they were snatched. The doorway to the cavern lay in front of them and a dead Lamia lay at the side of the cave. Near it, a grave had been erected.

Fear churns in your heart and a lump forms in your throat as you expect to find one of your three traveling companions in that hole. There was no marker of any kind to indicate who was buried there, or how many of the three had actually survived this apparent attack from the Lamia.

The move is now your's to make</font>

<font color=#AAAAA> Silt 80/80

Silt nimbly jumped down into the darkness and looked around, he saw the body on the ground before him and examined it. </font>(ooc>> did he find anything?) <font color=#AAAAA> Then he waited for the others to jump down. </font>

ooc>>I could extend the post but I dont know if the body has anything on it, that may be needed for the door etc.

<font color=green>Andrion Wilgor 53/60

Andrion arrived down at the bottom of the rope. The illusion he had created had expired in the meantime. After getting down Andrion cast an Improved Invisibility spell on himself. </font>(OOC:the one which dissipates when he does combat actions)<font color=green>
"I shall scout ahead while invisible he said to Silt and Roderik."</font>

OOC: How many exits are there from the chasm?

Silt checked the body of the bear. There was only bear stuff. It also smelled real bad. The decay seems to indicate that this bear is less than a year dead.

Andrion used his invisibility spell to mask his movements, and searched out the room for the next pathway to go.

The room in which the three adventurers stand is about the size of thirty arm lengths across. There is one narrow corridor leading into the darkness. You hear nothing, and see very little. The only thing you can see about this corridor is that there are two unlit torches hanging from the walls, one on either side. They are just inside the doorway.

There is nothing else that catches the attention in this room.</font>

Andrion started walking down the corridor, still invisible, a spell at the ready.</font>

<font color=white>For Andrion

Suddenly, the two torches burst into purple flame, then, as though it were a domino effect, more torches down the expanse of the corridor also burst into flame, two at a time until thirty torches (fifteen pairs) had been lit.

Measuring the distance between torches as ten feet between each pair, you estimate the corridor to be one hundred and fifty feet in length. </font>

OOC>>>
I found an online converter, dplax. 150 feet is 45.72 meters by what this program says. Is that helpful?</font>

<font color=lime> Roderik

The rope had been easy to navigate, and the path ahead seemed clear, but things are rarely as they seem, as he himself proved time and again. kill the silverfall. Where had that thought come from? It was unbidden and not useful at the moment. silverfall can survive without shadow His "guest" was acting up again apparently, long silent he was making himself known once more... perhaps he would have something useful to say. </font>

<font color=lime>the shadow cannot survive without the falling silver, sever larry and the shadow will fade to nothing The bard mused for a moment, making a tick-tock sound with his tongue against the roof of his mouth. It made sense in a strange way The shadow had been given enough power to seperate itself, but it was still bonded to Larry, If he were to fall... but the voices were rarely truly benevolent; they typically kept something back, or gave false information to disrupt the lives of those who meddle with them.

Perhaps Larry's death would release the shadow from any sort of binding it still had and unleash it's power tenfold... that would be something fitting... kill them all, they know too much Roderik thought back at the voice, And what then, when their corpses cool on the ground I shall still have to find a way out and a safe way to return, no, I shall let them bring me back to the Inn where we met the bumbling ranger, and once they've served their purpose, I shall see to them. </font>

<font color=lime>A slight chuckle was heard from the bards direction but as soon as he realised he'd made the sound aloud he stopped, his eyes glancing furtively around to see if anything had noticed.</font>

<font color=green>Andrion Wilgor

Andrion noticed Roderik deep in thought, but had no idea what he may have been thinking about. He seemed satisfied with the result however and made a chucking sound, but stopped it suddenly.

"Would you mind going ahead and checking for traps?"-he asked of Roderik.</font>

Morgeruat 06-04-2004 01:13 PM

<font color=lime>Roderik

Looking a bit startled at being talked to, Roderik looked around and then said, "why yes, most certainly" walked behind Silt and gave him a push in the direction they were headed, "that way is clear now. And no, I don't have any other skills relating to finding and disarming traps than what you've just seen, so don't ask again."</font>
