I'm with Variol on that one; just because it looks like a question (due to my injudicious use of interrogative punctuation), does that really justify anyone re-defining the statement as a question?

Isn't it true that by adding the question mark to the end, you're instructing the reader to phrase it as a question, even if, when read literally, it looks like it ought to be a statement?

I guess that proves that Variol's come over to the Dark Side, even if he has the occasional relapse, doesn't it?
