Lol, they better not as I had it towed to the dealership I bought it from. It is a 1999 Mazda B3000

That's some perfect timing, Machinehead! Be interesting to see what they claim is the cause... but the dealership shouldn't care since it's Mazda who's going to foot the bill.

That's lucky timing for the breakdown...naturally my old Toshiba laptop died a week after the end of the extended warranty when it died a couple years back. :P

Just finished Doom3 for about the 7th time in a row I need to find another game to play.

Have you tried NWN :animated_scratchchi (damn, where's the tongue-in-cheek smiley?)

And I think I need a large coffee, it's the only way to keep my head straight in the question thread.

Mind you, we've just gone into a consultative period at work, company-wide announcement, so I may stick to something stronger for now....so that's a coffee with a side of M&Ms :D

Morning, all. In a spot of grieving today... my iPod did a dance of death this weekend, jumping out of the holder on my arm after I finished cutting the grass. It tried to bounce on the garage floor... didn't do it well. Now it doesn't work, and just clicks when I try to boot it up. :(

I'm trying an iPod repair service to see if it's salvageable... more news later in the week when they let me know the results.

Say, did anyone ever find the endless M&M jar? I've got a hankerin' for some...

Nope not yet, no chance of even getting to the shops and even then they usually have nothing that I fancy. It is about time I got NWN2, maybe football manager 2007 if on sale cheap but what I can't decide on is a good FPS with an interesting plot or one that stands out from the crowd. Any recommendations?

BTW I refuse to buy brand new games that are full of bugs any more, I prefer to wait a year then getting it for half the price but importantly with all the major bugs patched.

Lost my best headphones last week when my dear kitten, Alfie, decided she would chew through the wires... sigh... uh.. hold on.... ack, she just came out from behind a chair with a plastic piece in her mouth.. not sure WHAT it goes to... looks like a small connector... she's WAY too smart for her own good! LOL

Hello everyone!

Hello everyone!

Giday RainBabe,

You know there's a cure for that cat?

It's called a BBQ. :-)

That can't be right? We all know that you can only bbq cats in pairs :firedevil:

*ducks to avoid imminent case of low-flying bar-fittings*

Not at all. Butchered and selecting the choiced cuts, placed on a skewer along with some capsicum, onions and large cherry tomatoes, basted in my special spicy BBQ sauce, they become and excellent starter! :-)

It's just like chicken. :-)

That's such a cute kitten!

On a side note it is nearly five am and I have had no sleep tonight, I haven't slept well in, let's see, three weeks, and it is starting to annoy me now. I'm having to nap during the day to keep myself sane.

*rubs back of head where a coffee-maker landed on it*

Weird, who'd have thought a coffee-maker could fall like that? Maybe there's some Aussie gravity in the cafe this week?

DS, are you sure you're not a cat - behaviourally you sound like one...

Cloudbringer 07-06-2008 09:26 AM

Re: Cloudy's Cafe, a conversation zone, June 6, 2008

LOL, well, sorry about that..err. gravity issue... here, have a cookie and some tea or coffee, on Skippy's tab. ;)

Excuse me

Thank you darling, it's nice to see some familiar faces. :-) Roasted Roo is a bit gamey, not to mention stringy. Keep feeding that kitten, I'll be around in a few months with my special sauce! :-)

*looks at the big ol' Skippy with squinty eyes* Yah... I can see where you'd be a bit gamey... ;) LOL

yah, we're feeding her ....and boy can she pack it in!

Ugh, had an extra day off over our long holdiay weekend and now I have to be back at work tomorrow... I want more time off! LOL Ever notice how over holidays you rarely get things done around the house that you have put off for ages but then when it's time to go back to work you remember you needed to do this chore or that and well... not enough time now! Yup, that's how my weekend's been! LOL

*eyes up RainBabe with eyes full of wonder and awe*

I've always been game sweetheart. Just I don't think our respective spouses would be too impressed. :-)

Taking a couple of days off at the end of the week as it happens. Driving the eldest(19) up to York to suss out some accommodation for him. He's just been offered a fulltime job to train as a Civil Engineer. He's done 2 years college towards it already, so as well as paying him wages, their sending him to college to do his degree once a week during term time.

It's excellent! Saves us a bucket load of money, as we don't have to pay for him going away to Uni. and tuition fees. And best of all, he's moving out of the house and we don't have to feed him anymore(you want to see our weekly food bill!!), and I might actually be able to find a beer in the fridge when I have a look!

Don't get me wrong here, I love him to bits and he's a great bloke. But there comes a time (Neil Young in the background), and believe me, that time has come and gone and is but a distant memory. :-) He's developed an attitude way beyond his experience, if you know what I mean. He'll learn. :-)

Tosses a cat-spit covered toy at Skippy! ;) Heheh , yup... I suspect you'd have a word or two coming from the spouses! ROTFL!

Congrats to your offspring on the job with schooling offer! That's got to be every parent's fondest dream for a child that's going to university or looking for a job. Get a company to offer a great job with training!

LOL at the 'food bill' ! I can imagine your fridge being empty and your son constantly telling you and your spouse how empty his stomach is! Yup, he'll learn...takes a bit at that age but they do learn most things they need to!

Dragonshadow 07-08-2008 11:14 AM

Re: Cloudy's Cafe, a conversation zone, June 6, 2008

Heh, since my sister left for uni, our house food bill has been less. And when I leave in Spetember / October, I think it'll be even lower.

Cloudy, got anything for cramp? *curls up with a hot water bottle*

Hey DS! Hands DS a nice cup of chamomile tea and a biscuit. Chocolate, of course. :)

Got to get to some work here at the office but had to run around deleting spam...grrr...sales pitches first thing on a site are not the way to win friends! :P

See you all later! Have a great day!
