Well, I'm not really enjoying tonight because I'm working. On top of that, my missus keeps complaining that I work nights and is generally unhappy with the state of our relationship because I don't get to spend enough time with her.

My wireless network refuses to work. I've started smoking again. My Ebuyer order has been set back and they are only sending me part of what I ordered. My brother hasn't spoken to me for about a year and a half. My grandparents are ill and my gf's hamster isn't well either.

Did I mention my mother is a miserable nagging old fart? Oh, so is my stepdad.

Aside from that, its still a crappy night.

Maxes? Hmm, I dunno, I haven't maxed out in lifting for years. I'm certainly weak, though. The only thing I can remember (b/c it left quite an impression in my then young teenage brain) is maxing out at about 340 on squats, a few years ago. I'm not really a fan of weights. as far as that kind of training, I prefer to do the old style push-ups, and such. Not as effective, I know, but that's what I like.

And I guess it's a good thing I'm not trying to impress young teenage (Some)guys, then!
Hey, TDC, you could do the Rocky IV training style, what with cutting down trees and what-not. :D
Oh, just got out the ruler, and one strand was about 5 inches in length.

Ladyzekke 01-26-2005 10:51 PM

Oh man Dace, that's bad :( Try to take time to do something where you just can get away, and not think about crap.

Well I'm off to bed, going to be in the teens temperature wise tomorrow, with high winds too, yippeeee! Can't wait to freeze my a$$ off! :D

Don't worry, Siggie, I got turned down the first few I applied to, then got accepted at Tulane. I was short-listed at the University of Texas Southwestern (Dallas) where I really wanted to go, but didn't put too much stock in it. Swung by my old apartment one day, and there was a telegram wedged into my old mailbox door, and my heart suddenly fluttered. It was my acceptance letter from Southwestern. Often I ponder the coincidence of my going by there, that very day, and how differently my life would have been. </font>
Thanks for sharing Attalus.

Attalus 01-27-2005 09:21 AM

Any time, Siggy. I remember what a miserable anxious year that was, is all.

Xen 01-27-2005 11:48 AM

Good afternoon. I am tired as hell. I went to a museum and I was there for 3 hours. It was soooooo boring. And now with all the fatigue I still have to study since I have an exam from biology tomorrow. :(

Attalus 01-27-2005 01:48 PM

Good afternoon. Rainy weather, but maybe I can walk this afternoon. Has anyone played Shadowguard? (The premium NWN module) I really enjoyed Kingmaker, in fact played though it, twice.

RevRuby 01-27-2005 03:45 PM

Get some rest going in there, RevRuby, and let Nathan take over some of the challenge I hope everything runs smoothly for the last 12 weeks...

i wish he has work, school and studying, not to mention i need to be available for lyn's speech therapy and keep the house looking ok, in case people pop by (for some reason our area has been effected by a rash of people getting self righteous and calling cps for everything)

You would be to if you had them that close to the house. Feel free to chain yourself up to the rest of them in the back yard & I will give you a free haircut LOL

Dace De'Briago 01-27-2005 06:05 PM

Update: The hamster died.

Great :(

Galadria says, better you than her. It gives her a migraine, just thinking about it, having two toddlers and an infant. But, she says, you are in your twenties, you can handle it. Give Morgeruat an apron and tell him to go to town.

Ilander 01-27-2005 07:54 PM

CHEESE WEASELS!!!

Anyway, today, I slid down a banister in Whitehall Classroom Building when I thought no one was looking, and I nearly ran into an old lady professor...eeeek!

I'm going to a club tonight. How strange is THAT? Oh well, it was bound to happen sooner or later. Talk to you all later!

Have a nice day!

javan 01-28-2005 12:52 AM

RevRuby, take care of yourself and keep us posted.

T-D-C, are you going to post a picture of your place when you are finished? I'd like to see the "After" picture of your house...

Dace, sorry to hear about the hamster's demise. :( I work shift work as well. I try to see the bright side of things (i.e. at night I don't have my manager looking over my shoulder all the time ) .

Wooopie. I am back from school. I did very well on my biology exam today so now it's relaxation time.

Attalus 01-28-2005 09:32 AM

Good morning, Cloudy and cool, here, but the rain has stopped, until Sunday, they say. I haven't been able to get any gaming in, too busy working and drawing. I miss it.

Just think, if you were up here in the Frozen North, you could have dry skin and straw hair like we do! LOL :D

Had a so so day- work was busy and this cold is doing it's best to keep me from being awake, but I'm home now and thinking of getting some extra sleep for a change.

Aw, well don't be too jealous of them; they live around Phoenix LOL. Weather up that way just far too hot in the summer months.
We aren't spared the dry skin here but straw hair is definitely something I can do without! I tried some organic conditioner today - feels like I gave my head a hot wax LOL!
I saw temps up your way today are bitterly cold. I hope you are staying warm.
A good day for hot apple pie and ice cream maybe?

Ilander 01-28-2005 12:24 PM

Well, the verdict is in...dancing is surprisingly fun...fun enough for a stuffy guy like me to have fun with it for nearly two hours straight last night... :D

Cloudbringer 01-28-2005 12:51 PM

Violet, our high is supposed to be near 15 F today and we started at MINUS 15 F... so...brrrrr! My folks winter in Arizona and for the hottest part of summer they've been going to their camp up in New England, so they don't deal with the really hot Phoenix weather if they can help it!

Dace, sorry about your hampster.

LOL@Wellard's post to TDC... *snicker*

Happy Home Owning, TDC!

MINUS 15 OMG!
We got a break in the rain today with temps to hit the mid to upper 60's.
Tomorrow the rain returns and the temps should drop about 10 degrees.
Nothing near minus 15. I feel for you.
It's my turn to be jealous. I've been trying to get Steve to invest in some New England property for the last 6 or 7 years but he just won't budge. He fears ocean storms and the cost of recovery/loss. We should have never seen The Day After Tomorrow LOL because ever since then his firm "No" has turned absolutely concrete.

Dron_Cah 01-28-2005 01:20 PM

Well, I'm done with my only class today, which was a waste anyways, but: YAY!!! Weekend is finally here! I'm homebound, again! WOOT!!

Cloudbringer 01-28-2005 01:37 PM

Aww, tell your husband he doesn't need to be ON the coast to have a nice place... but even so, you can find some that aren't right on the high tide line! LOL My parents' camp is actually a really fancy trailer (with kitchen, living room, bath, master bedroom, sattelite tv and screen porch, no less ) and they keep it at a site on a gorgeous lake that's never swamped them yet!

Ilander 01-28-2005 02:55 PM

ick! -15 degrees F is a lousy place to be! I personally complain at anything below 40!

I'm with Cloudy on this one...don't live in a floodplain! It stinks! I've been in that position, and while rising water doesn't always hit your home, it can take away some mobility!

*grumbles about stupid Appalachian creeks and valleys, and road systems*

Xen 01-28-2005 04:27 PM

We have cold weather too. It's -18°C in the morning and -5°C during the day. It sucks big time. But we have no snow. Nothing. Zilch. Zero. So I don't actually have a feeling that it's "winter". It's just so very cold. :(

Ivelliis 01-28-2005 04:55 PM

Hey all. Just got in from a night of walking around the streets in the rain, kicking a football.
How fun.
But I'm going paintballing tomorrow :D
I'm going to try and use the "Marshell, my gun is quite tricky to pump, mind if I have a semi-automatic?" I'm one of three teenagers going with about 10 adults.
Advice I've got so far: Lots of layers, and a cricket cup...

Pity I don't have a cricket cup :'(

Attalus 01-28-2005 05:38 PM

Where in AZ do you live, Violet? I have friends in Phoenix and Flagstaff, and actually stayed with the Flagstaff lot. Very pretty there.

Violet 01-28-2005 07:08 PM

In the foothills of Tucson Attalus.
November through April. :D

(I like Flagstaff too - hate to drive in Phoenix though!)

Good Saturday morning to y'all! It sure felt like a long a week this week. I don't know why, it just felt like that. Maybe it's because everything was shut down due to the storm on Monday, but I went to work anyway.

..and I'll have the Cloudy's breakfast special! ..avn't had it all week!

Calaethis Dragonsbane 01-29-2005 07:01 AM

Good morning all. *yawn* I'm tired... I was up until 3am playing EfU last night -- and had to be up at 9am to have my hair cut. Oh well, twas fun. I think I'll head on now, or at least play some more NWNs.

Xen 01-29-2005 10:59 AM

Afernoon all. I was working out and now I am making a plan for my "crazy fights" party for BG2.

Ivelliis 01-29-2005 12:58 PM

Hey all. Just got back from paintballing, I'm exhausted!

Up at 7:35, had to meet up at 8, I'm surprised I made it.
It was great, but it still hurts...A LOT!

Bad end to a good day. I cancelled my paper round, and stopped in on the way home to get my wages. The guy who was supposed to cover didn't show, so I had to do it.

No I have not heard more, Epona may be the one to ask but she does not seem to frequent here anymore </font>
