Well thanks, I was able to keep my old job thankfully... still looking though

Looks like everyone is doing well I just got back from Chris's place. I had such a great time with him an Em at the concert (the concert was so special I'm going to make a thread about it ;) ). Since my mom bought his ticket (bday present for me), he payed for the food for both Em and I at the concert and that was nice of him . He had been asking what I wanted for my bday, but after he bought us all the food I told him a back rub would be perfect :D
And it was too! It must have been around 3am when we crashed on his bed and started watching LotR:TTT. He gave me the best full body massage I've ever had in my life *melts* I even gave him one back, and it put him right to sleep around 6am ;) Must be one of my best bday presents ever :D

Now I'm off to help Em move into her dorm at SDSU and celebrate home-leaving with her. Then tomorrow I head back home for an early birthday dinner at Rainwater's (one of the top 10 steakhouses in the country, went there for prom couple years ago:)) with my mom, brother, and Em of course ^^

Got to go finish getting ready. See you all later

Attalus 08-28-2004 10:42 PM

G'night, Jen! Sleep well, whenever you do get to sleep.

Ilander 08-29-2004 12:35 AM

Put another 762 Mb of RAM into the Laptop de Muerte...so, it's now at a Gb, which should do me for a while...

Spent the evening eating sushi and playing Counter Strike versus Nirav...god, playing with a mousepad on my laptop meant instant "pwned" status...

But, hey, the RAM helped that game run pretty smoothly!

RoSs_bg2_rox 08-29-2004 06:22 AM

Good morning all. How is your day going?

I can't believe it, but Im feeling tired, and I've only been up for about an hour! I think it's because of my new TV with the home cinema system, it's forcing me to re-watch all my DVD's. This isn't good if you are away at a drinks party and arrive back late, to then watch a 2 and a half hour film... :D

Have a good day everyone.

Xen 08-29-2004 06:25 AM

Thanks Ross. I am waiting for my dad to come back home from short vacation. He went on friday and he is on the way back. So what are you doing? :D

Stormymystic 08-29-2004 09:34 AM

getting ready to watch 007 Die another day, I borrowed it from my neighbor, and he borrowed my Butterfly effect :D which that movie was very weird.....and yes I watched both cuts ;)

wellard 08-29-2004 09:38 AM

HI all remember me? :D

Had a wonderful time on holiday for this last week and on my birthday (25 aug) we went sailing around Port Stephan bay NSW while watching the pods of dolphins play around the ship. Weather was warmish (it is still winter down here) at 25C and the sea was very calm. The afternoon was spent playing on the beach with my kids then followed by one of the tastiest meals i've had in years surprisingly at a small bowling club washed down with some quality beer.

Life is a beach :D

dplax 08-29-2004 10:31 AM

A belated then Wellard!

Attalus 08-29-2004 11:52 AM

We need to start a "Belated Birtdays" thread. Well, then again ... Good morning, all. Had a good, long walk this morning.

Lady Blue03 08-29-2004 04:19 PM

Hola mis amigos ^^ Had a blast at SDSU. Such a fun atmosphere, and to make it even better my mom said she would pay for me to go there my junior/senior year. I'm so pysched! I know it's like a year away, but still, enough of my friends go there for us to rent a house instead of staying in dorms (which in Em's building are actually pretty large compared to some others).

I also got accepted to stress test WoW. I'm currently waiting in line to download since I'm not a fileplanet subscriber Let's see, downloading 3gigs on a 56k at probably 4kb/sec...how long is that gonna take

Ilander 08-29-2004 05:55 PM

about 27 hours...

Hi folks. What are you doing? I am off to buy some books for school becuase on wednesday school starts again for me. :( :D
I want to have more vacation... oh well.

RoSs_bg2_rox 08-30-2004 12:00 PM

Hey everyone, glad to hear you enjoyed your holiday Wellard! And Although I know you don't really want to celebrate them when you get to your age :D

LB: you are so lucky, I wish I got to test it, well, be sure to tell us how good it is!

Gangrell 08-30-2004 12:05 PM

Hey everyone, I'm at my technology school at the moment and it's becoming quite boring already. Nothing to really do without getting a drawn out lecture in something I already know how to do, but I guess I'll live. I won't be out for another 2 hours, so see you all then.

Ilander 08-30-2004 01:14 PM

Well, I'm really gonna have to crack down on my friends...they invite me to come to their dorm and play CounterStrike LAN, and then I come back to my dorm and they talk to me until 3 AM...and I HAVE 9 OCLOCK CLASSES!

Oh well...nothing from 10:50 to 2...So I took a nap but still don't feel much better...

Well actually I've *been* testing it-my brother is a beta tester so I go over maybe once a week or every two weeks for a day and play.

Now of course my mom stopped a days worth of downloading...which means I have to start from the beginning *curses*

I'm enjoying KotOR so far made a female scoundrel, fun class! I'm still mostly in the middle as far as light/dark side points...not sure which I wanna go yet. And that NPC you get in the beginning was hitting on me, shame Does it go any further, anyone know?
Not that I get to play it much today...two papers to write and class in the evening

Attalus 08-30-2004 02:24 PM

Yep, female PC's can have a Romance with Carth or Juhani, who happens to be a woman, but wery butch. ;) EDIT: typos

Ah, well, everyone seems to be doing well! Just got out of classes, finally, I'm free for the rest of the day. Hmm, well, I better go find a legal place for me to park my car. :D Later!

Attalus 08-30-2004 06:37 PM

Hi, Ross, congrats on getting out of classes. Evening, everybody.

Ilander 08-31-2004 12:20 AM

Well, life is pretty good; I've met a couple of interesting people who seem to be good conversationists...which is definitely a plus, as I'm tired of being quiet all the time...oh, and...

ARRGH!!!!

wellard 08-31-2004 12:39 AM

Good to see you so positive Captin Ilander Blackbeard .... shiver me timbers  no roleplaying!

Just set up my birthday present. It was an all in one Epson scanner/fax/printer/copier thingy. and the last 6 hours or so have been spent scanning all my very old pictures (up to 1985) on to CD because they are fading fast. Let me tell you there are some very scary pics in my albums :D

Ilander 08-31-2004 12:44 AM

Not roleplaying...just playing around with paint...I hope to goodness you all know the difference! What, were you wearing disco-clothes or something Wellard?

Bungleau 08-31-2004 12:54 AM

I love my all-in-one, too, Wellard... that is, if you can actually love a machine. I used to have separate machines for all its functions... what a royal pain (not to mention consumer of electricity).

I'm in the process of adding wiring into the office. We had this room built out three years ago, and at the time, I overloaded it -- 12 network drops and a few more outlets than that throughout a 10' x 20' room. I've since discovered that I didn't put enough plugs in, nor did I put in enough network drops, nor enough phone jacks! :D

So over the last few days, in my spare time, I've added another pair of network drops (with options for four more, including one to the upstairs) and two more dual-line phone drops (home and office lines). The electrician is coming on Friday to double the outlets (yes, double!).

I don't mess with electrical stuff... I used to, until the first time I had the electrician out to do something, and by the time he left, I had him check every single electrical thing I'd ever done in the house. And he corrected every single one... :D

It's important to know your limits... ;)

It was me that was about to drop into some role play pirate speak Ilander and I rememberd just before the post button was hit... a close call :D

No Disco clothes for me .... just greasy biker and 80's style mullet hair! now I just wished I had hair :(

wellard 08-31-2004 01:18 AM

When it comes to Electricity i'm like you Bungleau and leave it to the expert. That sounds like a busy office you got there. Mind if I ask what sort of work you do?

Ilander 08-31-2004 01:59 AM

That's AWESOME!!! I'm going to go check out Stealthy's, now...Wellard as a "greasy biker"

Great stuff!

RoSs_bg2_rox 08-31-2004 04:59 AM

LB:You should download it using Getright or something, that way if you get cut off then it will resume.

Wellard:Those things are pretty useful! We have one too. I see you've changed your sig too. Make sure to add in your trademark phrase though, it makes it...whole. :D

They are usefull especially the OCR software. We had a Mustek scanner before and while the scanner itself was average, the software was useless. Then when the printer ran out of ink we worked out that to get a 'all in one' would work out cheaper.

The new sig is a drawing made by a friend we know is doing it tough money wise and could not afford a present, so she made a drawing instead! We got it framed straight away :D I might doodle the how 'ard? Wellard! bit onto the sig later at your request using photoshop

PS. Thanks for the birthday wishes before Ross.

Cloudbringer 08-31-2004 07:12 AM

Late, but HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Wellard! Very nice sig..hehe...love the 'bike'! :D

Been so darned busy at the office I can hardly find a minute to stop by my favorite haunts online.

gotta run to work, but HELLO and HAVE A GREAT DAY, everyone!

Ilander 08-31-2004 07:37 AM

YOU TOO CLOUDY!!!

I simply must get more sleep...I look like hell, and am beginning to feel like it...maybe less LANing...but people still talk to me until 2 in the morning...

Any suggestions for how I could work more sleep into my schedule?

If not, oh well...I'm still enjoying myself, so I'll live, I think...

Not at all, Wellard. I help companies better utilize the software they've invested in for running their companies. I do computer technical and application consulting for manufacturing companies, as well as software and service sales.

IOW, I'm a perfessional geek

Attalus 08-31-2004 01:18 PM

Is there a scanner good enough to transfer pencil drawings to a disc? The one I used last just got a few stray marks.

Lady Blue03 08-31-2004 01:34 PM

Sleep? Who needs sleep! I can get by on about 4 a day :D

Just finished one of my papers thats due today! I think I'll do the other one when I get home, hehe

Going to go play some KotOR now, cheers everyone

Xen 08-31-2004 02:23 PM

Good evning. School starts tommorow again. *sigs*

Attalus 08-31-2004 02:48 PM

School! What fun. I am thinking of enrolling in a drawing class this semester. Did a World Lit course seven years ago and enjoyed it.

Ditto. Well, not quite, Im more about 6 myself. But it really does suck. I seem to always run out of hours, I think this is mainly down to the pc, it eats up all my time. And what's more, I can't really help it.

I had a good day today, although I had a sore head this afternoon. But it cleared up in time for me going to my concert band, where I audtitioned and got in straight away, I had a good time, nice and challenging, Which was brilliant. So, all is going well, and I am looking forward to a nice relaxing session here on the computer, after I take the dogs for a nice walk, have a nice day everyone

/)eathKiller 08-31-2004 03:06 PM

A lot of people have started back to school heh. I've been in school perpetually for the last 3 years without a break so I don't feel bad for them at all Lucky kids... heh
