I can't make it to the boss bat. I can't get passed guano junction. don't know how
In Guano Junction you can acquire sonar-in-a-biscuits. If you use one from the inventory it opens up one of the side areas, use the second it opens up the other side area. Using the third one opens up the boss bat's lair.

Daily limit for Extra-Spicy Bloody Marys is now lifted to 7. However after they are used up normal bloody marys shall need to be combined with spices to get the extra spicy ones, unless someone puts bartender-in-a-boxes in the clan stash in which case I shall mix them.
Me's got bartender-in-the-box (set up on campground), so I can mix some (made 50 just now; no more spice atm).
The problem with bartender-in-a-boxes is that they explode after 80-90 uses so you need new ones periodically. I'll look into getting more spices.
The price of spices is more than that of extra-spicy bloody marys for the moment, we'll see about the whole drink business once the current stock is used up.

This Game is really sounding strange and fun!
If I join, which class would you guys suggest could help the clan the most? I looked threw all of your posts here and know where to go to join. What I really want to be is some kind of pickpocket Thief or a fighter. Let me know what you think and what classes you are and I'll check everything out tonight after work. Thanks. |
Saucerors and Pastamancers working together can make the best food in the game.
Seal Clubber and Turtle Tamers are the best meatsmiths in the game and due to their high muscle they are able to dish out a lot of damage. Accordion Thieves and Disco Bandits rely on their Moxie and having this makes them harder to hit. Any character can be fun and there are so many aspects to the game, and ways you can play a character: gatherer, pvp'er, guy who make money in mall,... I suggest you try the one which seems the funn-est for you. You gain two-three levels in the first day so if you see the character isn't working out, you can always make a new one. |
No, I meant that I can't get into Guano junction.
Ah that. You need to have an item equipped which gives stench resistance. Pine Air Freshener found in the Bat Hole Entrance serves for this purpose quite well.
Thanks Dplax. Unfortunately it will have to wait until tomorrow. I was on the phone whilst clicking on the Extra-Spicies and accidentally drank to many. Looks like im done with the kingdom for today.
I just made a few more clan purchases. If the money in the clan stash reaches 300 thousand then this shall be repeated.
Can I get a link to that game?
http://www.kingdomofloathing.com/
this is the main site with all the download links and other stuff needed to play. |
I joined and I'm called "Shadow Dale" the "Accordion Thief"
I made it to level two and then the site went down for nightly repairs. I got to the point where the Bird on the mountain gave me a scroll and told me that he couldn't teach me any more. but I don't know what I'm suspose to do next or how to join your guild. |
You need to have level three to be able to join any guild. Once you reach level three go to the clan district in town and there search for IW clan.
How's the game played? text based or got hand drawn graphics? Can I get a screenshot somewhere?
It's like many other browser games of the kind.
You have a status bar to the left, an options bar at the top, and one with announcements/chat to the right. Then there's the main screen in the middle. You have a number of turns each day, and you can spend them mainly on going out in search of monsters/treasure. To do that you select the location you want to go to, and you get a random event from the area's list. Some areas are more profitable than others, some have special things in them, mostly, the difference is in monster difficulty. It's not entirely text based, but doesn't have animations either. Just still images. My main problem with it is the documentation, which isn't all that clear on what does what and how, but you can do little wrong. |
About the money thing, if i could get a loan of about 8000 meat, I'll repay your character by giving him the safety of the Jabanero Saucosphere for a month.
I sent you some meat, Armageddon; no need to pay anything back.
I have a cocoa egg (cocoabo when hatched) and 4 rewinged stab bats. Anyone can have'em, just let me know (I'd put'em in clan stash if not for the lvl 3 'fore joining clan thing). |
Oh, thanks Gnarf. Nevermind the message i sent you in KoL. Okay, i don't need money for now, thanks dude. I feel like i need to pay you back nyway, so there. You have 120 turns worth of Jabanero Saucosphere.

Gnarf, you have a nice rare familiar. How did you get it? Did you buy it?
Sorta. (friend'a mine gave me one, as I couldn't afford it, and wasn't sure if they were going to get hella expensive or something before I could make enough money for it; I bought one and paid him back yesterday)
What does it do actually? My main character has all normally available familiars. He misses only the one you have and the ones for which you need to give Mr. Accessory's.

It's random what it'll do; it can disguise you as a nun (then you won't be attacked that turn), give you some meat, damage opponent some and restore some of your mp... I may have forgotten something...
So is it worth the 1.5 million it costs in the mall?
Yeah, or nah, or, I dunno. To me it was, I'd say, tho I don't think I'll be using it much after I've trained it to 20 lbs (gotta train the other ones... and the cocoabo is awesomer either way )...
Ya know D, i have one of those, hannikimbo thingies forgot how i got it. I'll sell him to 500,000 meat (that's 1/3 of the cheapest price in the mall). It goes to whoever offers the cash first, if i get more than one offer, it goes to the highest bidder. I also have a neckalace that he comes with to make him a little more poweful.

Offer sent.

Edit: Lead necklace, is it? [ 01-12-2005, 02:07 PM: Message edited by: Gnarf ] |
that's right, i couldn't send the dreidl, are you not allowed to once you've used it or what?
Are there any items or food or anythings that will bring down one's inebriety?
No items for that, no. And you can't trade it once you've used it, no.
Sorry D. Darn, i wanted that meat. If only i didn't have a conscience.
I can still sell you the neckalace for the 50k though!
Without the familiar the necklace isn't of too much use. However if you still have the tiny plastic sword I'm willing to buy that.
I tried to smith something and it said i didn't have the skill to make it, what skill does taht require?
To smith the good stuff you need to be either a seal clubber or turtle tamer.
I think Seal Clubbers and Turtle Tamers are the best smiths. I guess someone could smith it for you (I'd do it, unless it's a seal clubber only thing, but I'm out'a adventures for today).
Edit: didn't see dpax's post... Anyways... dplax, wanna set my title to "The Gnarf" (without quotations, duh)? [ 01-12-2005, 03:24 PM: Message edited by: Gnarf ] |
If the meatsmithing is a seal clubber only thing then my third char can try it for you.
Changing the title. |
