ohhh.. goes and stands in a corner...waiting on a phone call from someone to give me some info on Destiny, I hate waiting

Jorath Calar 06-24-2004 11:40 AM

"This is 1-800-Destiny.
des·ti·ny ( P ) (dst-n) n. pl. des·ti·nies
The inevitable or necessary fate to which a particular person or thing is destined; one's lot.
A predetermined course of events considered as something beyond human power or control: “Marriage and hanging go by destiny” (Robert Burton).
The power or agency thought to predetermine events: Destiny brought them together. "

Anything else you need to know...?

:D

Stormymystic 06-24-2004 11:49 AM

yes..why is my daughter sick

Jorath Calar 06-24-2004 11:54 AM

Sigh, sorry can't help much with that, just hope and pray she gets better...

Stormymystic 06-24-2004 12:00 PM

she is ok, just not feeling well, happens with kids alot ;)

Jorath Calar 06-24-2004 12:03 PM

Okey now my slow brain finally gets it... I think
your daughter is named Destiny...?

Duhh, I'm retarded...

Ilander 06-24-2004 12:55 PM

Cheese Weasels!

okay, so now that I got that out of my system...Howdy everybody! sorry about the sickness, Stormymystic.

anyway, I now know that working on a modern farm really doesn't prepare you at all for factory-work. Gosh, who would have known that putting plastic liquor bottles into boxes for twelve hours would be more tiring than cutting tobacco by hand?

I hear you...sounds like your having one of my days. I have three words to describe my day: Unannounced System Upgrades. So most of the day stuff was either not working or not working right. Lots of fun...

Dron_Cah 06-24-2004 09:49 PM

Hey, everyone. I'm really tired too. Played golf all day! :D Even shot pretty well! Good way to celebrate the big B-day. Since we're talking about babies recently, I was a 6.6 lbs baby, natural birth. Don't know if I was late or early, though. (kinda like now!) :D Well, I'm debating on going to bed or playing BG, right now, so g'night everyone.

Stormymystic 06-24-2004 09:50 PM

Happy birthday Dron_Cah

Bungleau 06-24-2004 11:12 PM

Happy birthday, Dron_cah! May the truth of the day be even better than the rumors...

And on a happy note, my Linux box, which has been down for a while because the power supply wasn't working, has responded quite nicely to a spring cleaning. Took it out, used compressed air to clean it thoroughly, and it has rebooted quite nicely. And quietly, too... much quieter than it used to be.

Mmmm... and in another week or two (or three) I will have finished acquiring the parts to build up my new PC. It's not a screamer, but it's heads and shoulders above my current machine...

Such joy... I think I'll have a beer...

Very strong coffee please Cloudy, to calm my nerves.

Greetings, DS. If you don't mind my asking, what's got your nerves on edge? Been busy-ish the past two days. Yesterday, I took a 4 hour trip to help my bro get all packed up, and another 4 hour trip back to bring him home. Today I helped him un-pack, and my room space was cut down to appr. 1/3 its former size. Doesn't bother me much though, except that we'll be fighting over the TV now.

Bungleau 06-25-2004 12:01 AM

AArrrggghhh!!! I figured out why my Linux box was running so much more quietly... the fan on the power supply wasn't running! The machine booted fine, but I don't think that's going to be the best thing for it long-term.

So it's back down, with another power supply from an old PC. But that one is smaller and just isn't working, so I'll be heading into a local PC store tomorrow to say "Give me another one of these", tossing the old power supply on the counter.

Such fun...

So Cloudy, make that a couple of beers, please... in cold frosty mugs, if possible. I've got some minor sorrows to drown.

Stormymystic 06-25-2004 12:13 AM

I posted a picture if anyone wants to see my kids go the my thread ;)

Dragonshadow 06-25-2004 03:08 AM

Happy birthdau Dron_Cah! Have a nice day.

Firestormalpha: I was scared to death because doors were banging when they were shut (if that makes sence).
I only found out yesterday I'm having teeth removed today! Nice of my kind, loving parents to tell me.
And I have my Grading on sunday.

Dragonshadow 06-25-2004 11:29 AM

Well, I'm back now, had four teeth taken out near to the back. Was done aboutnearly 6 hours ago, and still bleeding and in pain.... but at least I can talk now.

An elephant? what was she thinking?

Cloudbringer 06-25-2004 11:36 AM

LOL, elephant?!

Hi all! I've got a headache and the weather is threatening to turn into a thundershower, but at least it's Friday!

We got my study all painted at home and the hubby is going to do a few touch up spots tonight so I should be able to sort all my junk and get it back into the room this weekend...ugh..not what I wanted to do this weekend, but it's gotta be done or we'll never find the kitchen or livingroom...both are holding all the stuff from the study!

Firestormalpha 06-25-2004 01:46 PM

Ouch, 4 teeth out? Did you have your wisdom teeth removed? 13 seems a bit young for those to start showing up.

As for the doors slamming while closed, not sure exactly what you mean by that. But if it's anything like the time I was sitting at my family computer by the sliding glass doors a couple years ago, then I know how you felt. I was sitting there minding my own business and the glass doors shut and lached, started shaking, no one was anywhere near the doors but me. Very odd, no?

Good luck on your Grading btw.

Piestrider 06-25-2004 02:09 PM

Sorry about your headache, Cloudy. My way of avoiding painting duty is to do so badly that Galadria won't let me "help," anymore.

Attalus 06-25-2004 02:11 PM

Hey, that was me! I think this is a plot by Piestrider to pad his post-count.

Lady Blue03 06-25-2004 02:22 PM

Punish him!!

RevRuby 06-25-2004 02:31 PM

hey all! pink eye getting better. my friend and her kids are out of the house for a bit, YAY! they are driving me and mine nuts!

still late still planning on a pg test on monday. i'm excited. so many people have said bad things about it so i felt kinds pushed into pretending to be downa bout the possibility of another, but i'm not doing that anymore. i'm excited and happy and i think this is the right time.

sorry ds for the oral surgery, i gotta get my wisdom teeth out someday...dunno when i'll have time if i keep having kids, but i gotta try.

Bungleau 06-25-2004 02:54 PM

Four teeth, DS? That's painful just to think about. :( Were they your wisdom teeth, or others? And yeah, I know it's been asked, but I'm curious too.

When I had my wisdom teeth pulled, Doctor Fear did all four at once. I had him knock me out... great decision. Nothing between "five... four... thr..." and "what're you pulling out of my mouth?" It was the gauze, and they were done.

I couldn't chew gum for a couple of months, though. Learned that one the hard way, I did :(

Dron_Cah 06-25-2004 03:09 PM

Cloudy, what were you thinking!!? ;) I was gonna have my B-day party outside, today. too bad it's like pouring piss out of a boot outside, now. well, it has three hours to dry up, and be sunny out. I don't it's gonna happen. :( Oh, well, I'll have another one next year, let's hope!

That's a little stronger than a whip, Attalus!

Dragonshadow 06-25-2004 03:38 PM

No, they weren't my wisdom teeth. Second premolars, I think. Very painful, i can't eat and they're still bleeding.

Firestomalpha: the dorrs thing? That is exactly what I meant! Except with wooden doors instead of glass.
Another minor point Firestomalpha: I'm 14.

Stormymystic 06-25-2004 03:46 PM

hey DS..do no tfeel to bad about the teeth, I have to go have more pulled on the second as for the door thing, had it happen too, well not a door, but something that was put up tight on a shelf rolled off by it's self! talking about scaring me to death..it is also in myu sons room that it took place, and he was not here at the time

Dragonshadow 06-26-2004 07:44 AM

Spooky. Good luck with the teeth Stormy.

It is the second day and still bleeding. *cries*

Jorath Calar 06-26-2004 07:53 AM

Sheesh... well look on the right side... soon you'll be out of blood and the bleeding should stop... you'll just hear a wheezing as the air comes out of the wound...

Dragonshadow 06-26-2004 08:12 AM

LOL! Thanks for that Jorath.

Stormymystic 06-26-2004 09:16 AM

DS it is normal for them to bleed that much, it should stop later tonight or tomorrow, or at least not be as bad. some people bleed worse than others ;)

Xen 06-26-2004 09:34 AM

I hope you`ll be O.K. soon DS. What is everybody doing? I am practicing new move for my friend who died and I will name it after him. See you later!
