Fine, thanks MagiK. Happy Tuesday to you too! I like them better than Mondays as well!! ;)

Cloudbringer 02-11-2003 08:42 AM

The best thing about Tuesday is I get to play my multiplay BG2 game. Other than that, I'm waiting for the end of the week! :D

A bit creaky, thanks. Well, sometimes ya gotta shout to make sure the spammers pay attention. I don't like it when everything is one line or even one word, and after a pile of pyramided quotes. Darn it, Cloudy and Ziroc have made it clear that this is not going to be tolerated, and I don't want anybody banned over it, hint, hint.

chrisofthedale 02-11-2003 09:24 AM

not much up here, getting ready for school, but my ulcer is bleeding and i havent slept in days...

arion windrider 02-11-2003 09:24 AM

looks around to see who is spamming... nobody here attalus... just me being bored, tired and in a good mood... sorry for all the one liners ive been doing... just sometimes thats all i have to say at the moment... so ;)

It's ok, Attalus. Sometimes once or twice with the one line replies or a smiley is ok, but it gets to be a problem if everyone does it or anyone does it alot of the time.

I'm not going to toss anyone out on their ear if they think a is the perfect response to a post or have one line to remark on someone's problem or post, but it's the one line CONVERSATIONS that aren't ok. Besides, we usually have plenty to talk about!

Just a few weeks ago we had a whole discussion of nasty co-workers and taxes going on in the Cafe!

chrisofthedale 02-11-2003 09:49 AM

my stomach ulcer really hurts...

Attalus 02-11-2003 10:02 AM

Chris, why don't you take an antacid? Or some cimetidine or ranitidine?

chrisofthedale 02-11-2003 10:03 AM

because i have already taken my prevacid and 2 extras, and ant acid doesnt help mush, makes me throw up....

Cloudbringer 02-11-2003 10:05 AM

Maybe you should call your doctor, Chris. Maybe they'd have some ideas for making the pain settle down.

chrisofthedale 02-11-2003 10:07 AM

guys, iam about to post something a little rash... please dont hate me, its not you, i love all of you guys and if you want to keep contact get MSN and add me but as for now, this is my good bye to you all

Chris if your ulcer is bleeding, that is if you are vomiting blood, then jump into a car and take a ride down to your physician or the emergency! Anti acid or medication will not do much good if your ulcer already is bleeding. A bleeding ulcer is considered a medical emergency!

chrisofthedale 02-11-2003 10:17 AM

thanls for the concern, but it will die down soon

Elif Godson 02-11-2003 10:37 AM

Well I reckon Chris wasnt kidding :( shame to toss yourself into the fire like that. So how are the rest of ye on this day ?

Cloudbringer 02-11-2003 10:42 AM

What I never fail to understand is why people who dislike things here don't just leave? I mean how hard is it to leave and not come back if you hate it that much? Is it so wonderful to make a big 'splash' and get banned? I just don't get it. Maybe the younger set sees it as some sort of badge of honor, but I just think it's unnecessary and pointless.

Link 02-11-2003 11:12 AM

What I don't understand is where some people get the spare time to post so much at Ironworks... :D No seriously though: I totally agree with Ziroc that Cloudy's Cafe is beginning to look like a multiple chat session on MSN. All those short posts (I've even seen two-word posts , why would you even care to post such a short thing???) are pretty much useless IMHO.

I think it's much more impressive to have a very low post total, whilst having spent a long time at IW. No offense meant to you of course, Cloudy ;)

Cloudbringer 02-11-2003 11:16 AM

LOL, none taken, Link! LOLOLOL....I rarely posted anything shorter than a paragraph or five in my first year here! LOLOL... and yes, I still got a lot of posts in, but the bulk of it wasn't quick spam! LOL I don't have that much spare time to be online now, so I'm a bit more moderate in posting frenzy, nowadays!

Elif Godson 02-11-2003 11:21 AM

I love those two word post's, you post one subject and 5 pages later it may actually be addressed ;) heheh life is good when you have to keep you busy ;)

Too bad Accord, " approved "* isn't here to witness the glory of spam And Cloudy: I remember myself being a spammer, way back, when I had only been here for a few months. Posted one hundred in one day, IIRC. But that has cooled down, I guess.. Took me awhile to get back to Red Dragon, but I finally made it :D

*or was it " approved " Can't remember.. D'oh!

What did he do?

Horatio 02-11-2003 11:36 AM

Sig posted what I was gonna post... :(

Well, to make sure that this is not considered to be spam, I will have to space out this post as much as possible. I would like to say a big hello, konichiwa, benjour, hallo, hola and anything else that's considered a welcome to people here...

There....glad I didn't post anything meaningless

arion windrider 02-11-2003 11:42 AM

Perhaps Horatio and I can't see it

Or more likely what he did has been deleted, or he hasn't done it yet. Can someone fill us in!

Link 02-11-2003 11:56 AM

Hi there Sigmarish Sigmar! How is HADB doing this day (or rather: How is HADB doing right now?) Is Hiram still acting as a leader? Please fill me in as well.. I really missed something here I think... everything... going... so...fast :D

Cloudbringer 02-11-2003 11:59 AM

This sort of inquiry is EMAIL or pm stuff guys. Suffice it to say that for whatever reasons (ill advised in my opinion), chris posted something completely out of line, then requested to be banned instead of just ceasing to read the forum or post here or even asking for his account to be deleted. :(

THAT's all gang, show's over, let's move on!

Slower then you think my old brother in arms :D

Hiram is currently MIA due to personal issues he is dealing with, but yes he is still the leader.
The forums have experienced a rebirth of sorts but I haven't been able to go recently due to all ther work I've had to do. So all in all the only REAL active HADB member is...

*watches dustball roll by*

Unfortunately not even I can say that I'm a true member of HADB...I still believe however that our time will return...just when one of our leaders decides to make his eventual return :D

We all also have a new coffee machine of the second floor of the forbidden castle...thats about it...oh and I saw a pigeon the other day...but thats not official HADB buisness is it, no its not *takes medication*.

Good to see you're still around

Link 02-11-2003 12:04 PM

Yessir!! er... Yes ma'am! :D Moving on! How is everybody feeling today? I'm actually quite fine, hungry, but fine. Shouldn't eat too much though, cos I'm on sort of a diet. Need to lose some weight, because I'm rowing nowadays, and there are some weight restrictions there :( Still got three weeks 'til the first race of the competition.. Looking forward to it, because we have a pretty decent chance of winning it (we're the first team in our weight class that can win a medal for the rowing club!!)

Old? Who're you calling old there buddy!! :D
Good to hear that you're fine, Sigmar. I did visit the HADB website lately, and posted something, but it looked kinda deserted, but I'm positive that with the coming of the new coffee machine the members will all return to their safehold, namely the Forboding Castle!!! You row?

So do I :D The Calpe Rowing Club from Gibraltar you might have heard of it? We compete in the British Nationals and a number of other competitions. What do you row in (a scull, quad, double) ?

Link 02-11-2003 12:17 PM

Yeah I row.. Have never heard of the Calpe Rowing Club though.. sorry

I row in Leiden (major university city in the Netherlands) at Njord. It's one of the biggest rowing clubs in the Netherlands, and the only one to bear the tital "Royal".
In Dutch it's called 'boordroeien', but I'm not exactly sure what it is in English. It's not sculling, that's for sure, because that's the 'Dutch' term as well for rowing with two oars. It's just with one, that's what I do.

Hmm then that could either be a pair- [
[

[
[
\

[
[

(which is essentially a double but instead of two oars each you use one on either side)

Or what we call here in Gibraltar a Yiola (a big boat that holds four people but its built for rough water conditions, each person on board uses a big oar)

Have you done any kilometer pulls? Like 10KM or 15KM?
Also do you use Ergometers? (rowing machines)

Forgive the amount of questions, I'm just eager to learn what rowing is like in other places aside from Gibralatar,Scotland and England :D
