Names from Norse mythology are always fun - Odin (my Undead Hunter), Freya (my ranger/cleric), Loki (maybe a jester or mage)... and of course Greek and Roman - Midus, Artemis, Athena (another of my Paladins)
Names from other myths or even games work well... Kain, Link, Samus Aran, Lulu, Noober...

I tend to use names I have come across while reading some of my favorite books.........
For myself I'm always Sir Tomas Darknite (a paladin in shadow)
For multiplayer I like:
Thor
Conan
Belgarion
Durnik
Athena
Polgara

Well I've played with a couple different characters with names usually coming from the theme of forgotten pagan gods. Though I think the one I like best is the one I'm using now my login name Orion as a half-elf conjurer.

I usually use the names of my favorite Animes...right now my main Characters name is Omokaide Tenkawa....from the anime Nadesico...

I love the name Thurskin.....I think it works well for a fighter....

Because I find the first character I finish the game with (of either gendser) the best and the one I feel I understand the most, all my female chars are called Kaltia and all my males are called Rai. Just don't ask...
But if they all have the same name I end up feeling attached to them all [img]tongue.gif[/img]
The name Kaltia came from a set of science fiction novels and I just (I KNOW I'M SAD, OKAY?!?!?!) dreamed the name Rai...
