If you do hit our shores for your honeymoon I'd recommend steering clear of the tourist hot spots (Rotorua and Queenstown would be the main ones) - overpriced and overcommercialised (is that a word? [img]tongue.gif[/img] ).

The Southern Lakes are awesome! Take your breath away type stuff whether it's summer or winter ;) I went to Lake Te Anau last year, a small township that is sorta touristy but not too over the top.
A lot of visitors seem to like renting a campervan and doing a round trip type thing but depends what you're after [img]smile.gif[/img] here's a link for NZ tourism
