Someone rescue me! I'm stuck in Austria without anyone to chat with!
I miss you all and this place is so awfully boring, I won't even get a chance to do some cross-country skiing! So, how's everyone doing? Better than me hopefully..... Being stuck down here has revived my depression and generally made me more gloomy and boring than usual...... I didn't even choose to go here myself! I got a variation of the Ogre's Choice(Die fast or die slow.), which was: "Die of Boredom"(Go to Austria with my family ) or "Die of Annoyance"(Spend the entire week with my annoying cousins ). I hope you're all doing well and I miss you all!(Though I miss one of you more than the rest of you ;) and there's one or two that I'm actually not missing.... Especially if I get a second chance to hit them. ) |
well Neb, it sounds like your having fun in Austria! remember to send me a postcard! oh and btw, youll never hit me!

sorry bout ypur luck Neb. was wondering wht you hadnt popped up on AIM.
Cloudy, the reunion was fantastic, thank's for asking. I now have a permament refuge when I go camping. 40 pristene achres of forested land at my disposal whenever I want to use it.. |
Just wanted to gripe a little. Two day's ago I cracked a wisdom tooth open and made an appointment with my Detist to get it pulled. So this morning I go in expecting for the pain to be finally releved and to my utter amazement,, they tell me that the no longer carry my insurance...W.T.F. I hate all this standarized crap about insurance carrier's, do you have a ppo or an hmo, I dont really give a flying #^%@ who or what I have I pay good money for this crap and it is only good in certain places. S.O.B.... needless to say if you cannot tell I am rather perterbed by this. So now I have to wait longer and find another new Dentist, this is the fourth one in 3 year's. I am sick of meeting new one's. I do not like letting just any old dentist in my mouth, some of them are real quack's and dont know a cavity from there dairyere.
Rant mode off: So how is everyone else doing? Hopefully well. |
Best of luck to you with your tooth Elif, I'm doing reasonably well since I'll be back on sunday to torture you all full-time instead of just about an hour each day
|
Oh darn, Neb's back... ;)
Welcome back, Nebster! Have a niiiiiice trip? ;) |

|
*Stuffs Seph into one of the Cafe's toilets and flushes him* No, I am NOT having a nice trip, get on AIM on sunday and I'll tell you all about the horror of it
You'll KNOW when I'm really back though, then I shall spam like noone has ever spammed before! *dramatic thunder and lightning in background* *Realizes the Z and the mods might be listening* I mean.... Make many meaningful and informative posts , now what do I need to bribe you with to keep quiet? You'll get it on sunday, a garden gnome perhaps? Btw, your pic at Stealthy's looks.... CUTE! Bwahahahaahha! *Runs off before the fewocious Lioness can catch him * |
*sets a tripwire hooked up to a precision laser in Neb's path.* dont make understatements...

Hi everybody. (pulls Sepiroth out of the toilet, wipes him off with a baby wipe which every good mommy carries around)(pulls off boot, talks to slime) Er, Neb, I sure won't say anything good about Oesterreich. (stabs at map of Central Europe) My keyboard doesn't have an umlaut, or one of those slashed o thingies. Do you need rescuing? Hi, Lioness. How's about a BIG cup of coffee. My Mass. friend just IM'ed me that there's a lot of cold and ice up there.
|
Hello everybody!
Anyone know anything about chemistry? No? Not anyone? Oh well, just give me a HUGE cup of coffee then, I guess I'll try to find out all night  |
Elif, don't even get me started on the insurance issue! I spent a thoroughly miserable summer with allergies because my hmo went out of business and I joined a new (very good otherwise) hmo that has a closed list of prescription drugs it covers and MY allergy drug was not on it. I spent all summer back and forth getting approval two years ago for the drug to be covered because I can't take anything else without side effects. The catch? Approval is for ONE YEAR and has to be requested by the doctor every time it ends. My doctor moved, I found out AFTER I ran out of medication and thus the runaround began... sigh...
I really hope you get that tooth cared for soon! OUCH! I"m sending warm and NON-painful thoughts your way! Cloudy |
Hi, Regin. Actually, my undergraduate minor was in Chemistry, but my best subject, there, was organic chemistry. Gotta love Benzine rings. Cloudy, sorry to hear about your woes. We don't take HMO's for very similar reasons, ethical and in the interest of having charge of our practice. What was your medication? There's a brand new one called Clarinex that we are having great success with, here in East Texas, the allergy capitol of the world. Unfortunately, no pediatric form, yet, though.

Too bad, indeed. I love Sweden. Went there in the summertime to see a frind of mine and her husband. Man, that's a strange festival you guys have when the sun never sets. Here in Texas it's a cloudless sky, temperature 14 degrees celsius. But, left chemistry test behind a long time ago.

Yeah, that's a real high-light here in sweden :D Right now it's eight pm, in sweden, so it's really cold and dark.. How old are you by the way? Or maybe it's not polite to ask a woman her age ;) |
It's not polite, but then neither am I :D I'm 33.
|

I'm 32, but only on paper ;)
haven't physically aged since 20 (good for acting all innocent ;) ) and my mental age, well.... |
This may be a bit off topic sorry but what happened Galadria1, didn't your name used to be plain Galadria?

Shot away if you want, I might be able to help (well my BIG textbooks might). Galadria - Benzine rings - LOL - what about norbonyl or cyclohexane. I didn't realise I was signing up for a degree is art as well. |
Thank's for "vibes" Cloudy, sorry to hear about your misfortune, my wife has had the same issue with her allergies. We have a ppo policy btw. I did however get the tooth removed and am feeling markedly better. Last night and this morning I felt like I had been in a brawl.
That dentist had some big hand's and my jaw only open's so far. but so far so good |
I can dislocate my jaw to open wider, but it tends to freak people out
|
HI everyone how is life treating everybody. Mine is rather different since i live in the wonderful place known as cuba yes the same place they are sending the prisoners of war. It is wierd i can see the lights of camp x-ray from my house and on the news. Their are so many new people here now and everything is crowded. But other then that life is pretty good.

LS, eeeeeeeeew.. doesn't that hurt?!
Mouse... ROTFL!!!!!! You're just telling him that cuz anacondas probably have rodents for midnight snackies.. ;) Galadria, it is Claritin. Tried allegra and zyrtec, bad side effects. Cloudy |
Hi all, I am back from my holiday, and boy have I missed the forums!
Holiday was ok, except I couldnt see the rain for the fog, and I know there was rain because I got wet and wetter. (christchurch is soooo wet). Well school starts again in a week, but hopefully I'll still be around here. These forums are a great place, I am amazed at them. Have a good week all! |
LOL @ Regin. I'll just quote Denny McLean, "You have to grow up sometimes, but you can be immature forever." Staralfur, cyanides are my favorites, too. Those triple unsaturated bonds! Sigmar, yes, I was just plain Galadria, but the machine ate my account or something. (sigh) I had been a Drizzt Do'Urden, and to start again with those awful shields... Cloudy, Claritin won't be available for adults anymore, except in the Redi-tabs and liquid formulations. They're going to completely replace it with Clarinex, which has a longer half-life, and is more specifically targeted to the histamine interface, or so the Schering-Plough drug reps are assuring me. I think it is all a marketing ploy, since Clarinex is really just the final form of the Claritin molecule, after the patient's gut and liver get through with it.
Oh, and Regin, I was in Uppsala and Stockholm, as well as yachting through some islands that I am ashamed to say that I don't remember the names of. I just remember crisp, cool breezes, sparkling blue waters, and my husband saying that Monty Python thing about "Pining for the fjords," over and OVER. I feel the need to hit somebody, any volunteers? And while I'm waiting, a mug of hot cocoa, please.

And Galadria, sorry for nagging, but where in Stockholm were you? It's always fun to talk about your home.country/town ;) |
Elif pull's out some sparring matt's, "This should help Neb, want gloves or skin's ?
|
Regin, we only were there one day, since our friends live in Uppsala. I thought it a beautiful city, all those islands. We visited the Old City, I believe it is called the Gamla Stan(sp?), the gorgeous castle, Parliament. They wanted us to go to the amusement park, but we didn't have time. We went to an exhibit about Queen Christina. She was quite a character, wasn't she? Saw a statue of Gustavus Adolphus. High point for me was walking down the street with my friiend and her sister. We (the sister and I), are very blonde, and this nice gentleman actually came up to us and started speaking to us in Swedish! Neither of us understood more than a couple of words, but my friend, Mercedes, who is married to a Swedish Ob-Gyn doctor, answered. She wouldn't tell us what he wanted, and I have wondered till this day.
Neb, who are you wanting to hit. Not me, I hope. Does this have something to do with Austria? [ 01-20-2002: Message edited by: Galadria1 ]</p> |
